@TheWesXpress sorry mate but I disagree with you about Mothra not being "Great". Mothra is actually one of the most important kaiju ever. Infact, she was vital to Toho Pictures. Surely she may not be as popular as Gojira but come on, Mothra defeated Godzilla countless times. This is my opinion though, I love Mothra/Rodan and Godzilla of course. One of the more underrated kaiju is King Caesar and probably Angurius
i never said that mothra wasn't important, ive just never felt that mothra was that great of a monster, and i don't feel mothra has ever beaten godzilla infact godzilla has killed mothra several times and all mothra has done is drop godzilla into the ocean and swam away and i dont count that as a victory. And imo varan is probably the most underatted kaiju, and probably moguera.

Zilla cooler than Mothra??????? You made Zilla go over Mothra????? I am deeply shocked!!! Mothra has 40000 times more power, can shoot beams, Has larvae as backup and uses wings as powerful winds!!!!

he is by far not my favoriate monster, just like his look. any monster ever kamakarus could probably kick zillas ass. i just think he looks cool. by no means is he a good monster just a cool looking one.
(my review) MY GOD WAS THAT BAD!! First off the characters are underdeveloped and unlikeable which is weird seeing most off the film is bad character development. The Monster is barely in his own damn film and it's so badly lit you can't see anything. The human scenes are taken from Independence day and the monster scenes are taken from better Speilberg and Cameron films. And for a film that's supposed to be scientifically correct, it's filled with B.S
that is a legit review. i would not have been supprised if this was a scifi (i refuse to use syfy as that is dumb) channel origonal movie. it was ok as a 2 bit popcorn creature feature, but as a godzilla film it was a let down. lets hope the legendary pictures/warner brothers reboot to the godzilla series comeing out in a little while is alot better then this tristar bomb.
I do consider Godzilla 98 a Godzilla movie because Toho added Zilla to their list of Monsters, acknowledge the movie in the Millennium Series, and of course Zilla turns up in Final Wars. The cartoon was better though and Zilla was made to be more like Godzilla, he breathed fire and he had Godzilla's roar
I actually think Toho does consider Godzilla 98 the 23rd Godzilla movie, I've seen it included in Box Sets with Toho made Godzilla Movies. I just wish they'd release a Godzilla the Series Box Set with all the episodes
i love this movie and the animated series that followed. i just wisshed he had more traits that the real godzilla did though and i agree that the 1st time i watched it, well..........it sucked but it had to grow on me like it probrably did on most ppl, but it took 13 years to grow on me...anyway awesome review (like aways :) )

good review. maybe if they just dident call godzilla. it would have been awsome. i think they should have made a sequal but the reboot coming out in 2012 should end any hopes of that

well a different company is doing the 2012 movie. but a sequal to this movie was kind of already done with the animated series.
