a meat eater who says you have the right to be veggie, is like a murderer who says you have the right not to kill. Peta's link to the holocaust cannot be offencive: they are highly against the treatment of those chickens and hence against the holocaust. The reference to our historical strength and dominance over animals is exactly what racists did to other people. The reference to intelligence is dangerous and leads to the conclusion that we are allowed to use mentally disabled persons in tests
My position on this matter has significantly changed since then. I don't eat meat anymore and I think animal cruelty is one of the worst evils in the world, even though I still believe PETA is not a good representative of all vegetarians.
if you have a problem, don't watch the video. don't tell me what to do. you are not obligated to watch my videos. and i don't go by as "dude." i actually do have a name. ok?
I agree with most of what you said except on the comparison between chicken & the holocaust. well, I dont find it offensive because its technically accurate. Systematic kill... & Im not a PETA member or even a vegetarian (though I wish I could be, maybe soon).
personaly i believe that killing animals for food is perfectly ok, at the end of the day we are predatory animals and it is in our nature... but killing animals for sport is a BIG no no, animal testing... now thats hard, because it does hekp mankind, but do we really need help? i mean 50 years ago there was something like 3 billion people on earth, now there is nearly 7.
PETA Corp. does indeed have a campaign that equates eating chickens to the Holocaust. They call it 'The Holocaust on your plate".
PETA Corp. is also one of the most likely groups to kill animals in the US. Their 'shelters' have, by far, the highest kill rate of any shelters anywhere. One office actually had a truck that supposedly took animals to their shelter, but actually the animals were killed in the truck and dumped.
Ingrid Newkirk, one of PETA Corp.'s three owners, seems to be a creationist. She claims that there are no biological similarities between humans and any other species.
PETA Corp. has also been documented to give money for legal defense of captures ALF terrorists. This is in their tax returns, which are public due to their classification as a tax-free organization.
