k im gonna sound dumb cause i been playin drums for 7 years now at my neighbors but what are rim shots?

rim shots are when you hit the drum on the edge so you hit the rim and the drum at the same time. it takes a while to get a good sound, but if you take one stick and put it half way across the snare and hit it with the other, thats basically the sound you should get.

no its easy dont worry about it just make sure you dont play too fast. Keep it quarter notes and the hi hat slightly open. Dont kill yourselfs on matching the fills exact to. Theirs basically 2 beats to it so it shouldnt be to hard.
