There are strict rules when it comes to lion hunting. A lioness may only be killed if she attacks livestock & doesn't leave the area. Maasai respect the Lion & the females are spared when possible as we know they are responsible for the continuation of the animals existence. As for Arabic Lion's comment about wazungu endangering the lion population, many Arabs still come on safari to East Africa to kill anything that moves. Muslims have been trading in African animal skins for over 1000 years.

most hunted animals suffer very little if any at all. imagine them dying of disease or starvation, thats much worse and it happens all the time. the animals in the meat industry suffer way more and dont know what freedom feels like. if it werent for hunters animals would be grossly overpopulated...deer are a great example, even with all the hunting pressure, in many areas they are still over populated. most shots kill the deer within a minute or 2

actually i know a lot about the meat industry since im taking animal science and im in the FFA. i know what they are bred for im not some stupid hippy. i understand that it is necessary but i have seen videos of hog, beef and poultry slaughter houses...not pretty and the animals dont always die immediately and sometimes come out of uncontiousness...i know about the guidlines and my argument is against the meat industry, its for hunting

well you made a generalised comment about the meat industry instead of sub par plants that operate below standards. although poor slaughtering techniques are used its still better for them than dying of starvation, old aged etc

Let's judge these people through lens of our own sensibilities, but how many of you eat factory farmed cows, believe in abortion or support some war or another, or fund with your taxes one of these activities? Or how many of your acceptable practices are deemed decadent, offensive or immoral by other cultures? Care?
Takes a lot of guts to hunt a lion, even with a rifle. I have no interest in hunting, but I won't judge others for doing it, especially when its a tradition done with respect.
