I have seen almost all Joe Flanigan's interviews that are posted here. This really is the first one he gets distracted and almost flirty, but then brushes it off and continues with the interview. Would have loved to be in his head to hear what he was really thinking! Lol

why does it take so much time to make one show a week ? they use to make 5 LIVE shows a week yrs ago and they made shows for most of the yr with many more episodes than now days ..u r lucky to get 20 shows a yrs now

@fmcc0904 I'll admit that I didn't give SGU the benefit of the doubt when season 1 came around. I was one of the pissed off SGA fans, but having watched the single episode in which David Hewlett made his return as Dr. Rodney McKay, I'll admit that they had some really interesting concepts for the show that may have stood better independently than simply being slapped into the SG franchise. I thought your thoughts were pretty spot on about Wright and Mallozzi. I'm just sad personally as a fan.

Now that SGU has been cancelled, it is evident that it was not the smart choice. It's so obvious that Joe was pretty unhappy, probably could go as far as saying pissed off that SGA's cancellation. It was a good show, great cast, and it's a shame. They lost out on a good opportunity.

@lilaznmelmel SGU started to improve, but they pissed away the enthusiasm and promise it had with nearly an entire season of dullness punctuated by pointless bickering and overbearing pop culture. My thoughts on the situation with regard to the connection between the lack of SG-1/SGA movies and SGU ... watch?v=UYCBKu-mHMI It never ceases to amaze me the way the squeedrones rally and swarm all over anyone who doesn't think that Brad Wright and Joseph Mallozzi defecate 24-carat gold.

Very good interview, love him and it's a plus point to me I understand his English very well (my mothertongue isn't English). I agree, SGA IS better.

About the movie: financial problems delay it unfortunately and MGM still have the only rights to produce anything related to SGA (as far as I know).

Wow! Good ol' Joe. I love all Stargate. But good for him being vocal about being canceled and weather he thought it was wise or not for that to happen and to make a new show (And jab at it a bit at the same time.) Maybe he's also bitching cuz the movie has stopped.

I Love David and Joe together like ATLANTIS , the comedy and atmosphere they create is the best I have seen in ANY TV SHOW !!!!!

@sheweir Kinek mennyire ritka a zsánere, de értem mire célzol. A DragonConos videókból néhány részletet láttam, jópofa :) Ja igen a csók.. amikor Torri mondja "Caldwell?" és cupp. :) Aranyos :) Mondta 1-2 ember hogy Joe zárkózott, szerintem csak kevésbé kedvezményez de ő is elég nyitottnak tűnik, mégha nem is úgy "műveli" ezt, mint David. Rendes :)
