After the revolution castro wanted a peaceful country so he passed a law in which he collected all the weapons in the country for exchange of money and if you were caught with a weapon you were sent to jail. No one back then knew that he was going to be a ruthless dictator. Try living in Cuba without the money that you have now for a year or two and then you tell me how it went
