  • Heee went to my school!!!!!!!!!!

  • heard the cowboys cut him,SMH jerry jones.the dude really didn't have a chance to show his full potential.well whatever team picks him up will have a pro bowl calliber saftey in 2-4 years.and im sure im not the only cowboy fan who wants jj's head lmao.

  • @OneOfAKind98 they cut hm cause his his training camp performance, it was never working out. he wasnt playing like a pro bowl safety anyway, besides Abe Elam is better

  • kwasi come back to iup my mannn! hahah our teams lookin roughhhh

  • What about them cowboys hire the entire special team from this school?

  • This could be the Cowboys starting Safety in 2011... I wouldn't be to upset about that.

  • first time seening these high lights, but this guy is good. Now How Bout Them Cowboys. so ready for the season to start again

  • dude use to go to my high school:) i look up to AKWASI!! good season hope to see you in columbus during high school football conditioning

  • GHANA

  • he sucks i can do this shit better then him

  • @Bigtimejonko why must you hate,

  • lol, I go to LHU and akwasi came to our school, ran over our entire team (litteraly) on route to a punt return td.

  • MAAAAN just listen what the commentator says: like 3 interceptionof the day(2nd quarter) 2nd ruturn touchdown (first quarter just over) unbelievable !!!

    HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS

  • from the sound of it, looks like a dominant return man from the chargers preseason game

  • Can't wait to finally see him play against San Diego, this guy will be a starter before too long. Great pick Dallas.

  • @BATTAL1ONx you think he will start

  • @dannygranger3 I hope he will be the starter by next year. If Alan Ball doesn't look good or needs to play corner, I wouldn't mind one bit with Akwasi backing him.

  • i know it was against small school competition but he just toyed with them lik he was in a whole other class he could hav easily played for usc or lsu hes goona be good might take a little while though

  • he turns what look like short returns into open field bursts of atleast 20 yards or more.hes good at coverage to so he is a threat as far as im concerned.

  • I LOVE THIS GUY!!! HE IZ A DALLAS COWBOYS AND HE IS IN OMEGA PSI PHI OMG IT CANT GET NO BETTER WATCH OUT FOR THIZ GUY LOVE U MAN

  • hez going to be a starter by next year for the *Dallaz Cowboyz* XD

  • damn these D2 QB's suck

  • U watch dem COWBOYS r gonna be deadly this year COWBOY$ 4 LIFE

  • runningback? lol

  • To hell with Dez Bryant....Im excited about this guy!!!!!

  • @gabe8102 O_o Not to Hell with Bryant lmao I'm excited about Owusu-Ansah too but just as much as I am about Bryant and Sean Lee, and even Sean Lissemore

  • Daq look at ma uncle ha he to hott fo em love u fam.

  • His name means "Born on Sunday"

  • reminds me of marion barber the way he breaks tackles. im gettin his jersey for sure!

  • This guy has missed all the OTAs but he is expected back for preseason. He is behind but this guy is talented. He is a very strong corner with great speed. I think its his shoulder. Tough break but lets hope Ansah can take the punt return duties from Dez so he can concentrate on receiver?

  • oh yea go cowboys!!!!!!! we are going to make it to the superbowl this year for sure.

  • go cowboyssss

  • 42,157 views for a small school guy. Oh so many Americas Team fans! Gotta love it!

  • I hope he can get on the field in minicamp. He lost some time missing the OTAs. Is he resting an injury?

  • How many times do Cowboy haters get clubbed on the head with a baseball bat by Dallas drafting superstars yearly before they quit and buy a Cowboy jersey!? lol

  • He going s Great Small- School Talent.

  • glad hes with america's team now. but how in the world was this guy not div 1 he certainly played like it

  • @allthingsclassicrock i can answer that, in high school initially his claim to fame was as a rb (i know because we were on the same team), all of the major schools saw that despite the stats, he didn't have the running style to exceed a the higher level as a rb, so they passed over him, the school that took him saw way to much potential in him to let it waste, and converted him to cb, the college stuff is from what i've read with a little research

  • @gamelvr1 thats weird because you'd think with as much raw talent and athletic ability he has that teams would be itching to get him

  • For Those Doubters Ever Heard Of A Guy Named DARREN SHARPER? He Went To WIlliam & Mary A Small School And Look At Him Great NFL Career And A Superbowl Ring With The Saints

  • @j78724 Our new drafted DT Lissemore is from Wm & Mary? lol

  • @dallas5sb yea i know hes from william & mary 7th rounder hopefully he can produce. he has another 7th round mentor JAY RATLIFF! that man is a MONSTER best NT in the biz hands down

  • maaan 3 interceptions in a half, 2 punt return touchdowns in 16 min........ man hes ffucking one of the best saftey ive ever seen

  • Hope he starts for the cowboys

  • 1:58 to 2:18 has to be one of the best returns i ever seen.

  • he has has great qualities that would make him an excellent safety

  • Akwasi was a great pick!!! :D

Prepare to the retirement T-New LOL

  • @TRPlusTOEqualsTD why would newman have to retire. Kwasi is gonna be playin safety.

  • @JuanMartinezworrd Really?

    That's would be better!!! :D

  • IF hes good, he could be a starter by the end of the year.

  • Great pick by Dallas,6-0 207lbs,with physical strenghth speed and quickness, can play corner, safety, maybe even running back. For those doubters there have been alot of great NFL players that were drafted from small colleges. Look at how many 1st round NFL draft prospects from major colleges are bust like Ryan Leaf.

  • He's a great addition! HOWEVER, he's hurt and he played against DII schools! So don't get your hopes up. I HOPE he will live up to the hype! GO COWBOYS.............AMERICAS TEAM!

  • i cant wait to c him on the field! i hope hes a ballhawk like ed reed or someone that fits that mold.

  • all man Everybody is in trouble now we got a randy moss in dez bryant and we got a brian urlacher in sean lee and now we got a ed reed in akwasi AKA PICK 6 all 31 teams is in trouble now GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!

  • Beast!!!!!!!!!

  • To think I played on the same high school football team as him. congrats akwasi

  • I think this guy could really help us out as a Safety and special teams. I would not mind at all having this guy and Sensabaugh in the back, helping out T-New, Jenkins, and now Wall. Welcome to the best team in the world, The Dallas Cowboys...good luck..........................

  • Akwasi does it again, that dude who broadcast seems to know Akwasi...lol.

  • @SiCkDiAbLo because he knows his name.....announcers are suppose to know their name.

  • Akwasi Owusu-Ansah is gonna be one helluva Dallas Cowboy!! Welcome to the team!!

  • reminds me of ed reed

  • @Iamxplay Reed is 5'11" 195 with 4.3 speed. Ansah is 6'2" 210 with 4.3 speed. He is more like Adrian Wilson.

  • @BigD1116 I dont know who told you Ed reed runs a 4.3 because they lied to ya,,,,Ed reed ran a 4.45 at his peak.

  • @Iamxplay yeah but ed reed wishes he was that fast kwasi has ran 4.28 before

  • @Iamxplay Not even close to Ed Reed.

  • The cowboys are gonna be sick!!!

  • This guy is built, and has the physical strenght and speed to play tailback, which he mentioned in a past interview he played in highschool.

  • this dude is a playmaker doesnt matter what school he went.....he catches everything with his hands...for a DB thats great especially a safety..this guy was a steal in the draft

  • Akwasi can return kickoffs and punts for Americas' Team while Dez gives our kicker a charley horse kicking extra points! lol You haters make me laugh!

  • really great pick.....

  • I can see everyone else is like me, who the heck is Akwasi Owusu-Ansah??? Then you watch this and like, We got this guy in the 4th, F-ING AAAA! Go Cowboys, host your own SB 2011

  • great pickup by dallas late in the draft.

  • Did anyone else notice @ 2:49 that the announcer said "3rd interception of the day for Akwasi Awusu-Ansah!" and yet there was still 10:38 left 2 go in the 2nd Quarter at that time??!!! LOL! Way to go Jerry Jones..great pick :)

  • WOW that last punt return was amazing. Bad tackling, but kudos to Akwasi. He looks like he's got a great jump in him, he'll be a good complement to the Dallas secondary

  • 2:00 AMAZING!!! GO COWBOYS!

  • Cowboys!

  • While he does have talent, he looks like a stud against other Div II players. Having said that, I feel he will struggle in the NFL. Potential bust but we'll see.

  • @DallasJRC He was a 4th round pick. Not like they took him with a 1st or 2nd. The dude is an experimental/development type guy. Hence the 4th round draft status.

  • @pgh5002

I understand that. But if you follow the Boys like i do, you would know that Campo has already named him the starter. Which is a joke. He is why we went 5-11 3 years in a row. I hope he plays solid though.

  • @DallasJRC They have not named him the starter. Campo is high on Alan Ball. In fact Campo is on record saying the FS spot is set for Alan Ball. You are either smoking something or getting bad information.

  • @pgh5002 Cowboys secondary coach Dave Campo confirmed that fourth-round DB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah will start out at safety. "He's an excellent athlete -- an outstanding athlete for a safety -- and we're going to start him at safety," said Campo. "And we feel like it's going to be the position for the future for him." Owusu-Ansah has free safety size with impressive speed and athleticism

    THOUGHT SO!

  • @DallasJRC Key words are "start out". He is saying they will play him at safety as opposed to corner as he was projected as both. He is not reffering to the starting position.

  • @DallasJRC Campo is saying that since he moved from Cornerback to Safety, that his main priorities will be to take on the responsilities of playing at Safety, rather than CB. Unless they sign a FA, there will most likely be a competition between Hamlin and Ball for the starting job, much like the Jenkins/Scandrick comp. heading into last season. The only playing time he will get outside of the pre-season will be ST, but I'm excited to see how well he will do in a Cowboys uniform.

  • @DallasJRC He didn't mean that he will be a starter BUT he meant he will start his NFL career at safety instead of cornerback.

  • @DallasJRC: You can't bust when you're drafted in the 4th round and went to a D-II school.

  • @haw45386

You can when there were better options on the board in the 4th.

  • Awesome job by the scouts to find this kind of athlete so deep in the draft. I'm looking forward to seeing how he progresses over the next year or two.

  • By no means am I calling this guy Ed Reed...yet, but in watching Ed his entire NFL career, thus far -- Akwasi reminds me of Ed alot once he gets the ball in his hands after a pick. He just seems to have a nose for the endzone.

  • wtf omg etc. best colleg safty i´ve ever seen. great pick . welcome at cowboys

he MUST play as starter he is fucking good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great pick for the Cowboys, looks like he could play running back, safety and corner. I know he is from a small college, but players such as Walter Payton,Larry Allen,Jerry Rice,Steve McNair, Randy Moss, and Doug Williams came from small college programs.

  • I know its a D2 school prospect, but I am really excited to have this guy on the Cowboys. Dave Campo will coach this guy up nicely. We may have gotten a steal with this guy.

  • he looks alright i still think we need to pick up sharper for at least two years while hamlin and this guy develope

  • go cowboys

  • He gonna start at FS

  • ALERT ALERT!!!!

JERRY JONES IS MASSING WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN DALLAS TX. I repeat Jerry Jones is massing WMD's in Dallas TX.

  • This really college??? look like high school players.

Looks to be a good addition to Dallas. U can see him getting a lot of tackles on special teams, which is prolly maybe why they got him. But wow, some of these runs are insane. Maybe the 4th or 5th CB on team.

  • he's ridiculous can't wait to see him in th silver and blue

  • i went to IUP. thank you cowboys for giving Akwasi a chance, he was nothing short of a man among boys at the D-II level and should serve you well.

  • Dallas Cowboys!!! woooo!! haha we finna be good this season!

  • Ballhawk.

This kid could be a star.

    Let's go COWBOYS!

  • Well...I'm convinced.

  • Welcome to the Cowboys!!!!

  • What a great pick to help out the secondary. Akwasi welcome to the Dallas Cowboys team! Ah? The best freakin' team in all the land! Woo hoo!

  • @webtechdude Nice Eurotrip reference

  • @webtechdude haha..nice EUROTRIP reference lol

  • @webtechdude Sept the cowboys are terrible, too bad, hes a good player

  • Jesus Crist ! how many touchdowns did he get? Thats what you get when you put a very talented player in a small school, TD's. Dez Bryant, i've seen little on returns, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, you the man. COWBOYS!!!!

  • Wow! This guy's a legit playmaker! Welcome to the cowboys bro. You're starting day one. Dave Campo will get a kick out of coaching this talent.

  • he ran 80 yards in 8.742 seconds. wow. Welcome to the Cowboys!

  • Looks good Play maker. Ball hawk cowboys needed one

  • Look at that Boi go!!!

  • Welcome to the NFC East Champs the "Dallas Cowboys" !

  • I like the pick.... Great quality. He can return punts and kicks.

  • Lets Go Cowboys

  • Welcome to Dallas

  • Props to the announcer for getting his name right.

  • Dis my fam real talk he gonna be threat in da leauge. Cowboys finna be a force to be reckoned wit

  • Looks like he's playing against 8th graders with learning disabilities.

This guy will be a bust.

  • @umadnerd not really he was picked in the 4th no such thing as a bust after the 3rd round

  • @Allistar123 well everyone has potential so it is possible to be a bust depending how high his team is relying on him ...

  • Wow I am impressed by this video. Good Job Cowboys! I can see why they got him. Corner or Safety and kick off or punt returns is what we are lacking. I can't wait to see him in action.

  • Great job, Cowboys.... the way things are looking.... a lightning quick, offense.... with an already shut down defense, not including the four rookies that didn't play last year..... (on defense) great, great, draft.

  • How Bout Dem Bowboys-

    Dez Bryant

    Sean Lee

    Akwasi Owusu-Ansah

    many more to come

  • Welcome to Big D! Cowboys FTW!

  • Welcome to the boys!!! A 4.33 40 time... Yes sir, I hope he starts at FS so my nigga Sensabaugh stays at SS. Sensabaugh is the man

  • if he play safety thats gud ill b3 happy lets do it

  • damn this dude is sick Welcome to the Cowboys exactly what we need in Dallas

  • lmao mt boi is a Q for omega psi phi yew saw him put them hooks up now he a dallas WAT i got a feelin thiz goin to be a good yr

  • HELLLLLL YEA go cowboys

  • Yeah go COWBOYS!!!!!!

  • Dame this kid is fast and strong!!! Hope he take the saftey spot from allen ball!

  • hes a cowboy now

  • Dallas got em Akwasi Owusu-Ansah yes sir! shut down corner

  • @TexasRevolution2010 he's gonna play safety. dallas already has good corners

  • @wdp11683 exactly

  • Big D! :)

  • Welcome to dallas! we wont ever get your disease ass name right! :D

  • @tlangley87 uhhhhh...

  • really hope the steelers pick this guy up

  • THIS guy plays more like a safety they dont show him on man to man cover but he does look good i think a lot of teams are afraid to take a chance on him since he never played on a higher level but i think if he is still there in the fourht round the raiders could take him NA needs some help on the other side of the ball

  • I think he'd look great in Ravens jersey.

  • AOA is the man. He has the physical skills to become a top CB in the league - hopefully he lands with a team with a good coaching staff.

  • Man i hope the Eagles get this guy, wow he broke like 5 tackles in that punt return

  • @case989 i hope so 2

  • i would love the phins to get this guy...

  • Straight from a scout "Owusu-Ansah is a project in the making he has to mold, he played against much lesser competition than a Raymond from UNA. Raymond is pretty polished and has played against LSU, UF, UL, etc. Ansah is a little Bigger, but Raymond had more tackles in one season against the top of division 2 that Ansah did in his career. Just Depends on coaches." You be the Judge YouTube Vid: Cornerback David Raymond 31 North Alabama

  • roo!!!!

  • lions are bouta get this kid. i would compare him to asante samuel. not a great tackler but gets many interceptions and can cover wideouts in short areas. only difference is he doesnt get baked deep. ran a 4.32 at his pro day and a 4.35 at his private workout. ive been following this kid for a while now.

  • @DetroitLionsFan981 looks like he dominated the competition. would love to see him in Detroit... he's got the size and speed, at 6'1 205 he might even be a safety.

  • 2:00 is ridiculous. Wrapped up at least 5 times. Dude is strong (tackling also bad, but oh well). Second coming of Nnamdi Asomugha?

  • AMAZING stuff...I think someone will fall in love with him and take him in the second. Look at the 2nd round last year and some of the safeties taken: Patrick Chung, Michael Mitchel, Darcel McBath, William Moore...a lot of bad safeties that failed to make an impact and a lot of teams who were willing to take a swing but missed. They'll be back at it this year.

  • Giants worked him out, hopefully they take him in the third round, we need a speedy returner and a viable option at safety if kenny phillips isnt as healthy as he wants us to think he is.

  • really hope da bears get this guy... and we resigned pisa today .

  • Future Miami Dolphins Free Safety

  • INSANE!

  • I want the BEARS to take this kid. We could move Tillman to FS and he could be our #1 CB.

  • bears are gonna draft him with #75 and move to free safety

  • bears
