The reason a lot of black men aren't dressing with the "Ocean's" style is because many of them don't legally work but hustle. If a black man has gone to school, gotten his education, and has entered the workforce, he understands what dressing/business attire is. The reason a lot of black men aren't dressing with the "Ocean's" style is because many of them don't legally work but hustle. If a black man has gone to school, gotten his education, and has entered the workforce, he understands what dressing/business attire is. i have to disagree with you on that statement. that's an unfair assumption based on the black men you may have encountered. there are lots of men who are legally employed, in college or both yet they may not have been shown how to properly wear an oxford shirt, wear a tie or how far to let their pants touch their shoes. if they haven't been shown or are shy about asking another dude about how to dress for fear of "seeming ", then how would they know what to do?

i come from an era where we DID NOT wear sneakers/tennis shoes to school except for gym day, you wore shoes everyday so your feet didn't spread so much with the constant wear of sneakers that you were damn near ready to throw your shoes in the garbage when you went to church on sunday. and jeans everyday was out of the question. parents let their kids wear anything now a days so they grow up wearing anything & would spend the money on jordans than a 3 piece suit and some bass loafers.
