my 8" 120w COMPUTER subwoofer can do the same as ur dick prolongation, flap the paper as much as urs and if I put glass of water ot top of it the water will spill over the edges, my point is why have that big subwoofer if you can get as much pressure and better sound with smaller sub, but if you want big subwoofer I would recommend jl audio gotham g213, but GENELEC gives you best sound quality
3. At least 16 times the air moved, at a fraction of the FS of your computer sub= WAY MORE FUCKING POWERFUL. If your box is 1/16th the size of this, your port will do the same thing. If you put your sub in his box, it would even do it.
The guy posted a fucking video of his subwoofer, get over yourself. If you don't like it then post a video of your logitech and see if you get 122 views, much less 122,000
biggest is not always the best option neither the smallest, my computer speakers are proper computer speakers but i cant listen music with them cause sound quality is awful that's why i have my hi-fi room downstairs perfect acoustic and orgastic sound, in there i don't have over huge sub that takes half of the room(why should be?). the whole point is that you don't need that big sub, it's useless. btw your comment shows that you know nothing of hi-fi. Genelec is the best.
You stated originally that you're computer subwoofer was as powerful as this subwoofer. You basically said about sound quality, just actual acoustic power. I explained that this sub was more powerful in terms of actual output, again, I said nothing about sound quality. Biggest is rarely the best option, but if one subwoofer moves more air than another, that subwoofer-all specifications being the same- will be louder. Genelec is one of many many very good companies. It's not the best
Lms ultra 5400 has the lowest distortion of any mass produced subs that I've seen but I'm half a year outta date. Genelec is very good too though. Or a rotary thigpen woofer.. take your pick. I went with maelstrom x2 21 for big cone experience (smaller woofer array is never the same due to wave interference) and that LMS5400 is more to ship and power.

Why are you guys hating this vid so much ???? I think its fucing nice system and i can hear that the everything rattles in that room. Nice sub you got there :P
@frankdahlin I am :P But, any sub can make a paper rattle just in front of the port... and also making things shake on top of the box... So in my eyes it doesnt really prove much to me that its a powerful sub...
thats fucking retarded! get two 10w7s set up right and they will hit alot harder than that big waste of space!
hell even 4 8w7s will hit alot harder than that!
its alot harder to push a 32 in than it is to push 4 8 in subs. an 8 will pound 4 times before that big ass thing will get to one! its a waste of space and power!
That's like saying an 8 inch sub will sound tighter than an 18. when in reality the 18 will usually have a tighter sound because you don't have to throw loads of power at it for the same output.
So much crap in the comments for this! All that there is to consider regarding output is displacement, a function of cone area and Xmax. Seeing as a 32" woofer has over 4.5 times the cone area of a 15", it follows it only requires ~1/5th the Xmax for a given output. Power handling only needs to be sufficient to allow Xmax to be achieved accross the desired bandwidth in the chosen alignment, the manufacturer should have designed such that thermal limits are not reached with normal operation.
my bro had 2 15 inch kikers and 2 12 inch jl audios and a 10 inch punch in his back seat of his 97 ram turnd up all the way with a lil john song throw it up shattered the rear window wish i coulve recorded it
@dustinallen1982 oh my b, i got 2 18 juggs, they pushin 30000 watts, i got two fosgate 15000 watt rms amps, haha, i got them for free, SO SHUT THE FUCK UP HATIN BITCH!!
i remember looking up some 32's once... they ad a good 6-14 mm of xmax from what i saw and were very ineficient. the enormous wattages they take still isnt enough to move that giant cone 1/10 @ full blast + a big magnet ona big springy thing would mean it just blares @ one note low. its so wide a horn the 32 inches in center meander and distort. TRy a really math heavy progresive cheesegrater'd horn waveguide design 140Db easy way way low : )
LOL that speaker really is pretty bad; I looked and found a picture of the tiny magnet on it. It's just like that light 36 inch subwoofer someone made. I can tell by the video sound it's not a great amount of bass.
@tharrington11 It means a lot; also the baskets are weak; the whole things over all look wimpy. The Majority of people criticize the clarion and audiobahn 34 and 36 inch woofers. The Majority.
its just for looks huh? i have a12 inch alpine type R in a custom box i made. only runnin 1200 watts to it. i parked it in my friends garage and turned it up. went inside and it had the whole house shaking. literally knocked down his small upstairs bathroom mirror. lol
but your cab is shaking like a jelly - what is this - a big is better competition? Ever heard of sound quality? If you want quality you need a very stiff cabinet that doesn't shake. That can isn't moving because of the sound waves but the cab vibrating. Also it isn't that cool to show a piece of paper flapping on a port. What else would you be expecting it to do? Any crap speaker can play these lame frequencies which are about 60 hz. Make a speaker and demo 20 hz and I will then be impressed .
@bullbapp "fucktard" a 32 inch speaker with 100 watts doesn't move that much "fucktard" as a 15 with 100 watts "fucktard"Therefor the 15 inch will move more air. "fucktard"
Where does it say that the two woofers have the same mag, same coils, same amp, different cone weight, I dont know if you've actually weighed the cone of this driver, but its actually a lightweight cone, the factors on this drivers massive size gives it a sensitivity of 97DB and an FS of 17hz, it isnt designed to get loud, its designed to play LOW.
SUB-sonic frequencies, thats 40hz down, this driver if im correct, should peak at 30hz, with the magnet it has, it actually can handle a lot of power, its just with such a high sensitivity, excursion isnt needed due to displacement. this driver from how I see it was designed to murder 20hz notes.
@CobraProductionsTV an FS that low means its a very low frequency driver, it will still play 30Hz pretty damn loud, i'd actually like to hear one of these with a SPL/FS ratio like that, sounds like it would be one hell of a wall shaker.
@cobra8811 Not necessarily. The 32" has WAY more surface area than an 18, meaning it can do even MORE than an 18 with way less power. If you knew anything about audio, you would know that.
@americaneagle791 i know, I've sat down and thought about it.it's like comparing a 8" to a 15". it just can't hit as low.and if it can it would be distorted.
i noticed the bigger the speaker the smaller the magnet and surround. Does this thing accually sound better than say two large 15s or even 12s. And also what is the rms and peak.
not all cases, a 13in jl audio w7 has a huge ass magnet, and also jackhammers, there are alot of speakers that are big with huge magnets, they are just expensive
hey dude,.,how big is the magnet of that speaker ? and how much did it cost ? ive gone all over the net looking for that thing but havent even found any specs or info on it. looks brutal must say ! as far as spl volume and wattage is concerned, i think the ground zero plutonium 18 inch with 10,000 watts rms is the king so far. but hey,..still ur systems waayy better than billions of people out there in this world. ahaha !!

comparing a 32" and a 15" without naming any brand or specs of the woofer.
brilliant... you know, if the 32" have a sensitivity of lets say... 98db/1wrms/1m
and your 15" woofer have a sensitivity of 88db/wrms/1m the 32" will hit harder with 50 watts than the 15" would do with 100 watts.
bullbapp 1 year ago
@bullbapp simply the cone of a 32 inch woofer is just massive.therefor the sensitivity will be really low.into the low 70's probably
CobraProductionsTV 1 year ago
@CobraProductionsTV do you actually know anything about cone function?
I bet you dont.
SicSniper4unreal 1 year ago
Maybe, but you can't even hear that low.i'd consider that as a waste.
CobraProductionsTV 1 year ago
@CobraProductionsTV its designed so it is a subwoofer.
SicSniper4unreal 1 year ago
@CobraProductionsTV an FS that low means its a very low frequency driver, it will still play 30Hz pretty damn loud, i'd actually like to hear one of these with a SPL/FS ratio like that, sounds like it would be one hell of a wall shaker.
SicSniper4unreal 1 year ago
@SicSniper4unreal Alright,i would love to see this driver maxed out.must be ground shaking.

@cobra8811 who cares? the 32" should be more efficient than the 18s at producing lots of low Hz at lower power
XXXERXXES 1 year ago
@cobra8811 Not necessarily. The 32" has WAY more surface area than an 18, meaning it can do even MORE than an 18 with way less power. If you knew anything about audio, you would know that.
americaneagle791 1 year ago
@americaneagle791 i know, I've sat down and thought about it.it's like comparing a 8" to a 15". it just can't hit as low.and if it can it would be distorted.

my 6 in jbls can do that

6ins cannot move as much air as this unless you have like 50 of them
andrewskaterrr 2 years ago
i noticed the bigger the speaker the smaller the magnet and surround. Does this thing accually sound better than say two large 15s or even 12s. And also what is the rms and peak.
H1shman 2 years ago 3
not all cases, a 13in jl audio w7 has a huge ass magnet, and also jackhammers, there are alot of speakers that are big with huge magnets, they are just expensive
AIVIP3DxX 2 years ago
Its just eye size judgement. I have seen 8" speakers with HUUUUGE magnets, and then a 12" with the same size magnet, but it looks smaller.
masterwolf1212 2 years ago 3
its gonna do that to paper wen u got it by the air hole anyspeaker does it
markybyeah 2 years ago
agreed i can do this with one of my memphis pr speakers 6.5 inch not amped
miasman077 2 years ago
last time i saw one was around 13~15 years ago at sound advice.
they werent rated for a lot of power, back then 500~800 watts was plenty.

hey dude,.,how big is the magnet of that speaker ? and how much did it cost ? ive gone all over the net looking for that thing but havent even found any specs or info on it. looks brutal must say ! as far as spl volume and wattage is concerned, i think the ground zero plutonium 18 inch with 10,000 watts rms is the king so far. but hey,..still ur systems waayy better than billions of people out there in this world. ahaha !!

What makes you think that speaker is good?
AzulBaronis 2 years ago 4
whell i think the box is to skinny for that power:)
