  • zob suits is made of tires and motherboard! lol

  • Compare Terence Stamp to this guy.

Terence Stamp is way more evil, which means way more better.

  • I actually thought this series was better than Smallville

  • I was kind of hoping for Terence Stamp as Bar-El and Sarah Douglas as Lilo ftw

  • Comment removed

  • Lord Nor = Simon Templeton

  • this is bare shite

  • What did Dean use in his hair to get it so slick?

  • @WeAreBorg359 A bucketload of gel, that's what. In interviews when asked about his hair, he said they put so much gel in it that it literally didn't move anymore. Not even during the flying scenes where they had giant fans blowing in his face to get his cape to flap.

  • @WeAreBorg359 I heard he uses liquid awesome

  • Every fucking word Simon Templeman says is gold.

  • Thanks for clearing that up! Much appreciated. ;)

  • Just wondering what was with the glowing 'S' by the end of this... Does that mean Superman used his kinetic energy and converted it into momentum to fight back at Lord Nor?

    Loved this series! Great show!

  • @Supergrl5013 It was showcasing how he fully immersed himself in executing the kryptonian technique required to strike down his enemy. "No doubts, no fears, just the kill." Since Superman doesn't and refuses to kill someone, that's why he never used the technique and got his butt kicked during most of the fight. But his survival instinct kicked in when he learned he had to get out of there ASAP because of the kryptonite so he did it.

  • @Iroquois226 Heat beams should actually be invisible they just add them in the story so you can tell what is going on.

  • @Iroquois226 No problem, man. Happy to help.

  • @Iroquois226 What country do you live in? What you see in this video is the US aired version. I know that in some countries, they aired this particular episode without some of the effects namely the missing heat vision as you claimed among others such as the non-animated power strikes on the weapons and obvious wire shots of Dean Cain flying. But this is completely the USA aired version. Nothing was added on the DVD. The effects were already there but sadly only aired in the US.

  • Does anyone else feel dean cain was mis casted for the show???

  • I hated this fucken show.... I could'nt even watch 5 minutes of it !

  • @davektm5257 Thank you for your opinion.

Now us people who did actually enjoy the show may go back to enjoying it.

  • i always wondered why he wore tyres and a chip board on his chest?

  • Am I the only one who's diggin' Superman's hairtsyle during the fight?

  • In my opinion, JUST my opinion, Teri Hatcher was sickening in this episode. Just something about the way she portrayed Lois kinda made me in a "-_-" mood.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOO what about the end??? what happened??? FUCK

  • All SV fans should start to see lois&clark

  • the more of the fight i see the more i love smallville a whole lot more

  • Producers were geniuses the US Army using RPG a Russian made rocket launcher.

  • Yeah SV is made for little girls but this series kicked butt back in the day but does anyone know when the first show aired?

  • @20bwannab According to Wikipedia, the 'Pilot' first aired on September 12th, 1993.

  • When Superman punches Nor, I just have to think KICK HIS ASS SUPERMAN!

  • Just replace Nor with Zod...

  • i remember this series im glad those two did a special guest appearance on smallville

  • Nor has a vest made of bike tires!

  • Lord Nor has more hair than Zod. Zod was going bald. lol

  • @nmr20067 lol true. But that depends on which Zod version you're going by. The comics Zod isn't balding and the movie's Zod just had his hair slicked back. He did have like a little mullet in the back though.

  • @superstarwarsrocks yeah but I guess I really meant Zod in the Movies. He was had male pattern baldness; his hairline was receding really. I guaranteed he is bald today. lol......... BTW I finally got L&C season 4 off Amazon USED. I am shipping it back to the sellers because disc 3 and 5 dont work. Dammit. I really wanted see" I got you under my skin" and "stop the presses."

  • @nmr20067 Well Terence Stamp is definitely balding but he's also pretty darn old too so it's only natural. As far as not getting to see "I got you under my skin", no need to rush it. I love L&C but that episode it plagued with terrible acting and a not so good script IMO. "Stop the Presses" is so damn cheesy but it's also pretty good too.

  • what season?

  • @robcheskord Season 4.

  • Is that Justine Bateman?

  • Wished Dean Cain got what he wanted he wanted the show to keep going but stupid nbc pulled there little games and killed the show, smallville sucks ass and will never ever be even close to as good as lois and clark!!!!

  • @sarah2930 I think you mean ABC but yeah, I agree. The show deserved a fifth and final season to tie up loose ends and conclude the series. It's a real shame.

I'd like to say I disagree with you about Smallville but......... I can't really. Most of the time it really sucks although they did a terrific Zod adaptation last season but... That's about it. So far, this season has been sucking pretty bad.

But Lois & Clark is still better.

  • @superstarwarsrocks @superstarwarsrocks Your only argument against Smallville is that it doesn't follow the comics very well. I will give you that. Smallville has basically set-up it's own universe in DC. But how about you address the other stuff? The effects? Don't give me that '90s bullshit excuse. The Original Trilogy of Star Wars has better effects than this show. How about the acting? From this clip, I have gotten that L&C was as cheesy as that Superboy Television series.

  • @MrRedqwerty Umm... Rude much? First off, L&C is of the 90's and cannot be compared to Star Wars because it is a TV show on a TV budget. Isn't that part of the reason SV has terrible fight scenes? Because it lacks the budget to pull them off? Secondly, SV's "Acting" is not much to speak of either. Dean and Teri had great chemistry. There are only a few amazing SV actors and those are John Glover, Michael Rosenbaum, Callum Blue etc. etc. but not really anyone else. And thirdly, it's an opinion!

  • @superstarwarsrocks I'll give you that. Most of the Fight Scenes are crap because of a small budget. But you can't go criticizing the acting. Tom has/had great chemistry with Kristin, Allison, and now Erica. They pull off the show very well, even in its bad moments. And there's plenty of cheesy acting in this show, regardless of Dean and Teri's chemistry.

As a side note, Dean doesn't really have the Superman look. Honestly, when I saw him as Superman, I thought Superman looked Asian.

  • @MrRedqwerty There is cheesy acting in L&C, yes. The show isn't perfect - I know that. I hate season 4 and this is one of the few good episodes from it. And yes, I can criticize the acting as much as you can criticize L&C's acting: It's called an opinion. I saw pretty wooden acting from Tom. Allison is better and Erica is okay but Kristen is bland.

And Dean is a quarter japanese but he does have the Superman look. Welling on the other hand still looks like a boy - maybe that's cause of his neck

  • @superstarwarsrocks Well then what you saw is wrong. Tom, Allison, Erica, Kristen, etc....have definitely been key factors in the show running as long as it has. Not only them: James Marsters, Callum Blue, and especially Michael Rosenbaum have played extremely well-received villains.

Dean Cain does have the Clark Kent look, I'll give him that. But the hell he looks like Superman.

If your saying that this is one of the good episodes, God help what to expect from a "bad" episode.

  • @MrRedqwerty Again, OPINION. Learn to accept that people have one. Callum Blue was awesome as Zod, James Marsters wasn't all that great, and Rosenbaum was a good actor. The rest except for Glover, O'Toole, and Schneider were all mediocre at best IMO. Also, yes, this is one of the good episodes and it's certainly a lot better than a lot of the crap like "Power" from Smallville. But again, opinion based. Stop arguing and learn to accept that not everyone is a clone of you.

  • @superstarwarsrocks I'm arguing with you because I hate it when people insult something and give shit reasons for doing so. All of your arguments have been just insulting Smallville positive aspects. How about you learn to accept that not all of us are old-geezers like you who want to live in the past with Lois & Asian Clark. Smallville is the present, and you'd better learn to either like it or at the very least acknowledge it.

  • @MrRedqwerty WTF? Now you're just being crazy. "Learn to like it"? I can like whatever the hell I want, thank you very much. I DO acknowledge it and I DO watch it. Hell, I even DO like it - Major Zod last season had an awesome storyline. I just like L&C more. Geeze. Oh, and shit reasons? Who are you to say what is shit reasons or not? You're giving me "Shit reasons" why L&C sucks too - so in that case we're even. Stop being a hypocrite.

  • @superstarwarsrocks Now your being the hypocrit. In all your previous comments, all I've seen is you insulting Smallville, with the only positive thing said being the Zod season. Everything else has just been insults.

I'm not saying that Lois & Clark sucks. It looks like a pretty cool show. I am, however, forced to state it's bad aspects in order to combat your arguments regarding Smallville.

  • @MrRedqwerty You're the one who was being a hypocrite so you can't call me one. In all YOUR previous comments, all I've seen is you insulting L&C, with rarely anything positive to say.

I'm not saying that SV flat out sucks - I just don't associate it as a good "Superman" show. And I am also forced to state it's bad aspects in order to combat your arguments regarding L&C. It works boths ways. And again, why are you arguing with me about SV? This video is about L&C.

  • @superstarwarsrocks Lol, he just said that he insulted it only to combat your arguments. So in the end, you lose.

  • @toxinqwerty And I responded in kind to combat HIS arguments to point out the flaws of Smallville which didn't even give a good payoff with him in the suit so it's not comparable to L&C because it was supposedly "NEVER about Superman".

So in the end, you both lose.

  • @MrRedqwerty And why are we even debating Smallville? This video has nothing to do with Smallville. When or if I upload a Smallville clip, then we can talk.

  • @sarah2930

    SV is trillion times better!

  • @bfnfamily That's "YOUR" opinion.

Personally, I don't think so. Sometimes, SV is enjoyable (Last season, they nailed down Zod's character) but mostly, it's a mess. L&C was at least more consistent in quality and more faithful to the Superman mythology. SV craps all over it on a daily bases.

  • @superstarwarsrocks

I would admit SV has it's faults, but it's way more enjoyable than L&C. SV is one my favorite shows ever, I never miss an episode. I'm going to miss watcing it every friday, but at I least I have my DVDs.

  • @bfnfamily Once again, that's "YOUR" opinion. I personally disagree. SV is in many ways far less enjoyable. Even if you ignore how much it craps on the Superman mythology/comics/lore which many people do, it is plagued with weak characters, plot hole induced storylines and headache inducing dialogue. But I won't neglect to admit that this is only MY opinion.

I also watch SV and can enjoy it sometimes. But L&C is just simply better, faults and all.

  • @superstarwarsrocks

Give me SV any day. I would watch the animated series, which great before I watch L&C. I would watch any other Superman show besides Lois & Clark.

  • @bfnfamily god tell me about it. i have seen every episode of sv and i love it. i am so pissed its over this year. but it was an awesome ten years. and smallville does stay true to the comics and mythology i dont know what superstar is talking about. i think his the classic case of l&c is old so its better like people who always bitch about a show and say its early seasons where better. sv has better graphics and hotter cast and not only that but they got domesday and now darkside.

  • @bfnfamily also they change a few things but i would not call it shitting on the superman comics. makes it more fun. tom welling is the perfect superman. just like Christopher reeves

  • @SixDevils Damn... Talk about misunderstanding a guy in a drastic way. I don't like L&C cause it's old - I like cause it's better and more consistent in it's quality of storytelling. SV shifts from being terrific to so awful I never want to watch it again constantly. Who cares if SV has a hotter cast and better FX? It's 2011 vs. 1997 - Obviously.

And Doomsday and Darkseid? Big deal. They fuck up the characters then it's not worth praising them for taking risks.

  • @SixDevils And no, SV is not faithful to the comics. It's proven by DC themselves who called SV an "Elseworld's" take on the Superman mythos. AKA an alternate reality basically. Lois and Clark are getting married before Clark is even Superman - That should tell you enough that the mythos be damned in SV. It's also not a "few things", it's almost everything. I'm open to new interpretations - I mean they made Zod so interesting that it makes me mad they didn't use him more.

  • @SixDevils But not when it's messed up as Doomsday has been.

It's simply a matter of personal opinion - I'm a long time Superman fan and I watch Smallville simply because I am a Superman fan. That doesn't mean I love everything it does though. And Tom Welling? No, he's not the perfect Superman in my opinion.

As far as it ending, isn't that a GOOD thing? 10 seasons is a good number - It's just that so far, it hasn't been doing a very good job ending on a high note.

  • @SixDevils

I really don't understand why L&C fans and SV fans fight. People have their reasons for hating L&C, and people have their reasons for hating SV. No need to fight.

  • @bfnfamily Exactly - and I never even said I hated Smallville in the first place. I just said I like Lois & Clark better.

  • @superstarwarsrocks

And I like SV more, but to tell you the truth, I haven't seen L&C in years. I forgot whole lot of it. My first comment was a mistake, because I cannot even remember L&C. I no longer care that it got a lot of low ratings(my very first comment.) lol

  • @bfnfamily Well I've seen all 9 and counting seasons of Smallville and pretty much every episode is fresh in my mind.... And a lot of it is missed potential really. Horrible writing but that's just my opinion.

As for L&C getting low ratings, I blame that on ABC more than anything due to them switching timeslots left and right confusing viewers. And L&C once got extremely high ratings which sometimes went over 10 million viewers per episode and I'm being serious.

  • @superstarwarsrocks

I was referring to my first comment getting low ratings, not "Lois and Clark." I'm too young to remember "Lois and Clark." Yes, I remember watching it, but I cannot tell you how it went. I really have to watch the complete series again.

  • @bfnfamily lol. i dont fight with people on youtube i state my opinion and hear theys and then stop the conversation lol. but yea people on youtube fight all the time cuz they act like they opinion is fact.

  • @superstarwarsrocks You couldnt be more wrong at all - Lois and Clark was typical shite US tv where as SV actually followed the stories of superman that didnt make into the mainstream as much with twists to fit the show.

  • @steve201987 It's called an "OPINION". Learn to use it.

You may disagree but I see Smallville as more of the typical shit mainstream TV that didn't follow Superman comics. Because that's what it basically is. Name me one version where Lois and Clark get engaged before he's even Superman.

  • @superstarwarsrocks It's spelt basis. As for better, I do believe SV has won more awards, although mostly for music than the actors but still they won awards too and L&C was cancelled fairly early due to lack of viewers while SV has been on for 10 seasons and is the longest running sci-fi show in history, after taking Buffy's place this season. SV is inconsistent as all fuck as you mentioned but it gets the job done most of the time, I do believe both shows are great but SV does clearly win.

  • @44Brad182 Smallville is not the longest running sci-fi show in history. That is Doctor Who and Stargate SG-1.

L&C had poor ratings toward the ends but in its prime they had very high viewership. Smallville gets about an average of 2 mill these days, which is not impressive.

  • @thefloacist It is the longest running, in fact it just hit a milestone and yeh its viewers has died, but you just said the about L&C at the end... so all you just said was just void

  • @44Brad182 Buffy only lasted 7 seasons far from the longest running sci-fi show lol x-files was 9 , stargate sg1 was 10 and Dr.Who was like a million lol dnt watch it but as far as i know its the longest hell even charmed went past buffy with 8 seasons I love the buffy show but i think ur gevin it 2 muh credit there lol

  • @superstarwarsrocks i wish i could like your comment like 20 times because you're so right

  • @superstarwarsrocks Yeah Lois and Clark was closer to the comics you'd have to say Smallville was an alternate earth version as in the comics there were many alternate earths. They killed of Jimmy Olsen before Clark even wore his regular Superman suit and Impulse and Cyborg were in Justice League not Teen Titans, so made no sense to the readers of the comics.

  • @hydrolito Smallville was 1000 time better than this crapfest.

  • Wow, can you upload the rest? lol I was getting in to it.

  • @nmr20067 Sadly, I cannot. Warner Bros. is infamously known on YouTube for being stuck up crybabies when it comes to their copyrighted material. I doubt this clip will even last much longer due to their rules so enjoy it while you can.

You can always buy the DVD's too. ;)

  • netflix instant watch.

  • Lord Nor is Simon Templeman ! While definitely not as outstanding as he was in "Dragon Age : Origins" and the "Legacy Of Kain" trilogy, he's okay here, sneering and strutting appropriately. He still manages to act the entire cast off the screen with his dry delivery (not a hard feat, I'll admit).

  • @Totalpranny Didn't he voice Dr. Doom in season 2 of the Fantastic Four cartoon?

  • Dean cain played the role of a maniac in smallville Christopher reeve appeared too, lynda carter did it too, thats what I like of the people that have make shows about superman, they respect the real essence of this good heroe and the things that went before

  • I used to watch it, it was quite good but at the end it was like a romantic soapopera between lois and clark, but smallville rocks, at firsrt I thought, fuckk another stupid dawson creek, but Now Im a big fan, as I always been dc comic fan

  • @brunoadc666 Yeah, Season 4 was kinda terrible but there were still some redeeming qualities. As far as Smallville goes, it's Good at times, horrible at others. I have a love/hate feeling about the show whereas with Lois & Clark - Except for Season 4, I think it's a solid.

  • @brunoadc666 i loved this show back when i was younger. i got tired of it when the season this episode aired started. i kinda want to watch them all over again. i love smallville too. although clark blaming himself for everything got old quick. i love the theme in the final season which is about building him to becoming superman. it's so great to see all the past superman alum have a cameo on the show. still waiting for the guy who played superboy in the 90s to guest star lol.

  • i miss this show

  • @JRico0003

Oh, okay.. I liked it too.

  • @JRico0003

I'm curious as to what you mean by that.

  • Thanks one again for sharing...it seems like only yesterday when I saw this on TV back in the 90's. 5 stars indeed. ;-)

  • *once again (pardon the typo) =P

  • You're welcome ONCE again SupermanF0REVER..

  • =D

Say man, you might wanna consider putting an avatar pic in your channel...perhaps anything Superman (or Star Wars) related? Your choice. ;-)

  • Okay..

  • Good attempt.. reminds me of the Christopher Reeve Superman movies. Similar plot.. but really cool!

  • Yep - Except this time, there are dozens of Kryptonians instead of just 3 and they all have powers.

Also, they got a really cool spaceship ;)
