  • your doing a good job really nice

  • dude i always embark on these same type of projects and people always have to say "why are u doing that?" and i always feel like i have to justify my bad ass projects.

  • your like jimmy neutrons dad

  • Hi Duckman - love your videos. I do have a question though, In your intro you did a wheelie with your Ninja 250cc - is your driven sprocket stock? or did you change it to a bigger one for easier wheelies? And what gear were you in?

  • @warrenfoxgrey Actually, its been geared up for highway economy and noise reduction, typically that would make it harder to do wheelies, but it seems that it has a better tendency to lurch forward when revving it hard and dumping the clutch thus raising the front wheel easier. I was in first gear in the intro, but I couldn't get it to wheelie at all in second gear, even with stock sprockets.

  • @vvtheduckvv Oh! and thanks for the compliment, I'm glad you appreciate my stuff, I have more stuff that I'd like to do, and SOMEDAY SOON I'll have this CR500 running. :)

  • thats actually pretty fuckin smart with the chain guard

  • @supermotardmario You mean when I cut the slot in it? I'm kinda surprised they didn't come that way!

  • @vvtheduckvv it would make life allot more easy lol. anyway, i was thinkin about your backed up footpegs , i think the shiftpedal is gonna be tricky

  • it will be a real mess and every one will laugh at you..lmfao classic

  • @jp100090 Hahaha, yep!

  • 4:25 im guessing you got very mad when installing the rear wheel?

  • @WeirdoMikey2T Nah, it fits, its tight, but it fits. It would be easier if I had a 3rd hand, but no getting mad is necessary.

  • i ran mine without a case saver , if you have a 16 tooth sprocket, you cant use the case saver anymore , and a 16 tooth is really needed for monobike/supermoto use

    i ran 16-36 gearing

  • I also love to make things by my own to my bike!! good proyect man greatings from Mex!

  • you have too much money

  • @mojospin Actually, haha, if you watched the previous videos you'll see that I hardly spent anything on this.

  • @DuckmanCycles no i mean the fact you have all these bikes and stuff that you show on the start of the video.

  • @mojospin Not all of them are mine, I only have 7 bikes, but even in that respect I hardly paid anything for any of them except the brand new Ninja 250. Everything else I got as scrap and rebuilt with good salvage parts. I'm broke as a joke, I'm just really good at working deals and trades lol. :)

  • @DuckmanCycles good luck with this bike cant wait to see it finished

  • Maybe the guy was saying the break wouldnt be enough stopping power

  • Next project shifter kart with CR500 engine? :D

  • @hegeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Nope, working on a VW Bug with 4 CR500 engines... :) Stay tuned!

  • @vvtheduckvv How cool is that :D How about 600cc or 800cc snowmobile engine 2-stroke ofc.

    Anything new on this project?

  • @hegeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Nothing new until you see it here.

  • i love making crazy ass projects and things that are far out also but i have one huge question, hope you can answer this for me cause its been bugging me for very long time. But what my question is are you building this for straight track or straight light to light riding, cause with the two stroke and (not going going to say unpredictable powerband ) but a strong powerband that can kick in during hard cornering, was wondering if you hit powerband your rear could slide out or raise front quickly

  • I'm excited to see this project when it is finished. Gotta love 2 strokes

  • @Triplejracing Awesome! I'm looking very hard for a radiator. Once I have that I should be able to make a lot more progress on this thing when its running! :)

  • hey Duck man, its Mr Ktmito380 :D

good to see that shes coming along nicely.

If the vibes through the pegs get too much for you, let me know and Ill show you some OEM rubber mounted reasets that I found for my project :)

  • @KTMito380 ahhh show them to me anyways, I am curious! I may homemade my own rearset mounts in rubber, we'll see on that one.

  • did you give up on it or what?

  • @This0is0pointless If you ask that, then you haven't been watching the videos.... check it out. watch?v=aZOWkJX4Vxo

  • @DuckmanCycles no I've watched them all.I was just curious.

I usually just take on one project at a time though so i get it to where i can feel its done and don't forget what was what lol, then i move on to the next,if or when i feel like it

  • @This0is0pointless Nothing that I own is ever "done,", until its sold.... and I've no plan of selling this one. :)

  • simplemente un genio es un gran trabajo el que estas haciendo en tu moto no puedo esperar a ver el resultado congratulations its a great gob

  • @comadrejahp Muchos gracias! Mire mi otro canal @DuckmanCycles

  • CR swingarm with a F3 wheel with a R6 bracket & caliper... parts bin genius! I love it.

  • @MadSmokerBBQ Thank-you! You're one of the first people to really appreciate that conglomeration. It was a whole lot of trouble to make it all work, but in the end.... it does! :)

  • @DuckmanCycles like it. hey just throwin this out there, but this is going to be a bitch to buy parts for haha

  • @113cross Maybe for the next owner down the road, but all the working parts are actually OEMs and very easy to find.and I know exactly what is what. The next guy, however... I'm gonna have to make a list for him LOL!

  • Sweet custom. Was frame flex a problem on the SV650 frame?

Violent engine when tuned right. What is TBS for the rings?

Luv how U r not afraid to mix parts w/ some machining.

Just might light a fire under me to get a water buffalo running.

  • @cheerdiver Nah, the frame was fine, I just had a better idea for a smaller lighter bike. :) I am unfamiliar with the acronym TBS, what does it mean? Thanks for the comments and compliments! More updates on this project soon!

  • @DuckmanCycles Time Between Service, i.e. how often do U replace the rings on the CR500 engine. Having been a mech for an AMA pro/am racer (am of course), keeping the bike running lean for power would go through a set in 10-15 hrs. But as a streeter, tuning would be richer giving longer life to the top end. As U may know, worn reeds will make cold starts difficult.

Never heard of an electric start on these engines either.

  • @cheerdiver It all depends on how you care for it, and how hard to ride it. CR500s don't really need to be ridden hard at all as they make gobs of power down low, so their reliability is pretty high, and maintenance is considerably less. Some people I've known ride almost every weekend and haven't changed rings or a piston for 10 years. Since I'm not racing it will be running a tad rich with a really heavy oil mix to keep it happy. :)

  • Again great project !

Nice construction work, everything fits when you take your time :)

    I don,t phone you haha

  • When will the next part?

  • @123pvpworld When I find a radiator. I think I said that in the video.

  • have you ever considerd an electric start in stead of kick? it might save you some cuts?

  • @killnet14 Yes, we discussed that in comments on other videos, but this engine doesn't have the proper provisions for it and I don't mind kickstarting it.

  • I'm really pumped to see this completed.... subscribed.

I'm sure you've discussed it before but I just browsed through the videos... what are you planning in regards to body work? Is this going to be for sale when done :-)

  • @theblatanttruth The bodywork has photos on my FB page, add me and come say hi. Links to it are in the comments of all of my videos. While I didn't intend it to be for sale, everything has a price. I also intend for it to be "done" as its my toy and its going to keep changing as it already has, lol.

  • Do you really own a duck ? :D

  • @aaleeksii Yep! Shes got her own channel, check out @SkeeterTheDuck She rides with me and does all sorts of stuff!

  • @vvtheduckvv Hahaha, that is so cool. :D I love ur channel and all the videos, best entertainment I've found on youtube so far. Keep it up!

  • hey bro great build...............subcribed

  • @ecjr10 Oh wow! I appreciate it! :-D More coming soon!

  • Awesome! BUILT, NOT BOUGHT!

  • @jpswift1 YES! Very well put! Plus I saved a ton of money doing it this way, and I get exactly what I wanted, lol. :)

  • @motocrosstronado tu madre

  • Just found your channel. Nice stuff! Went through the same thing yet slightly different. Looking at my next build or upgrade my current. Check out my FZR400 YouTube Channel under

    Calspeed1

    Im Subscribed!

  • @calspeed1 Looking good! Thanks so much!

  • Awesome. I'm trying to rebuild my YZ85. I know it's easy but I'm 14 haha XD

It's a lot of fun though.

  • @FMXPRO199 Sounds good to me! I wanted to rebuilt a CR85 recently, almost did! :)

  • Great project......hope you can bring it together & make it look as you want. It's always a difficult one, how long do you spend on fit & finish, or do you just rush it / ignore flashy, and gaffer tape & chewing gum, so you can go and ride it up and down the road & be happy that no one will take a second look at it 'cos it looks like a dogs breakfast & won't try to nick it. Keep at it & when you hit your thumb with a hammer, remember, the first time you ride it, none of that will matter !

  • @magna59 Exactly! Thanks for the comment! :)

  • Way cool, I just found your videos, You're doing everything that I'm beginning to figure out to do. You're feeding me tons of info for my project, Keep it up!!! I'll be watching!

  • @scotso65 Thanks! I'm hoping to get some more pats together in the coming weeks.

  • @Frets0nFirePhenom Thanks! I really appreciate it!

  • Is that blue Nissan 350z yours?

  • That bike is going to be insane.

  • @baileytom78 hehe yep! :)

  • @DuckmanCycles Whats the build cost as it sits at this time? Do you build custom bikes for other folks??

  • @baileytom78 I forget exactly, I have to re-add it all. It was covered in a previous video. I think it was like $1400 or something. And no, I usually build for me only, but I suppose if someone motivated me with some money I would not only build them something nice, but I'd build it QUICKLY!

  • @DuckmanCycles AAH I see. I myself ride a YZF 600r but I like what you are biulding. Well enjoy the ride and keep an eye out for cars cause they ain't watching for us.

  • @baileytom78 Yeah, they sure don't! I'm sure you understand that you avoid death every time you go for a ride... at least 3 times because of some idiot.

  • @DuckmanCycles Yep! I just rode up to south east Oklahoma had four cars about run me over or pull out in front of me. Every time they were talking on their cell phones. I tried to get my helmet off to throw at two of them but they split as soon as they saw I was pissed off. I did enjoy the trip it was about 1200 miles round trip.

  • r u wearing vans ?

  • @chrisstomper86 Nope, Vans don't come in size 15, I've been looking for years! Those are Airwalks, and even those were a real pain in the ass to find. :)

  • then you are going to have to make/buy an extended rear break leaver

  • @yamaha04rider Nope, the one one the Yamaha rearset will work just fine when the rearset is mounted.

  • wish i had that chain guard, chain dug a hole in my case and oil dripped a bit, very little hole, epoxy did the job

  • @gusocorredor Yikes! Yep, a little epoxy seems to fix it pretty good, for those that are anal they can be welded.

  • @DuckmanCycles it was so small i think they would need to make it bigger to be able to weld :/

  • @gusocorredor Haha! I saw a local girl let her chain get so loose on her Triumph Daytona 675 that the chain got so loose was damn near dragging on the ground. Naturally it came off, whipped around and totally hosed the case. She harassed my friends at the local dealership and even called Triumph and was totally pissed when they all told her it was her own fault, LOL! :) She wanted to have the whole thing rewelded and rebuilt, big job... HER COST! Very spendy!

  • It's all coming together now! Awesome! After playing with different ways to guide/tension a chain the type of guide you have there is what I'd use, possibly after finding a way to move it so that it lines up perfectly with the rear sprocket, tire be damned :P I know you know what you're doing so I'm VERY curious to see what you're thinking of with the roller you mentioned though.... spring loaded idler maybe? Eh, I'll keep watching, that's for sure!

  • @sbartasek The sprockets do line up perfectly, and the chain clears the tire OK, too. I just want to stop any sloppin' from banging into the tire.

  • @sbartasek Oh, no spring-loaded idler, though, I don't want it to keep tension on the chain at all, in fact the roller would preferably not touch the chain at all UNTIL it whips towards the tire, in which case the roller would stop it before it got that far, consider it a buffer zone.

  • looks killer, and as far as that guy telling you it wont work ,well lets just say those are the type of people who never try anything or do anything that is cool as hell....like my dad used to say its just nuts and bolts.....

  • @MrMadkaw400 Thats the way I see it.... its just bit of metal.

  • do you have a lighting coil on that motor? if not how are you going to get the ights to work, and if you do ware did you find the coil and fly wheel?

  • @gump54 All LED lighting (trying to find a dealer for the new LED headlight bulbs that are out there now) and a small lighting coil possibly with a big (but lightweight) capacitor.

  • @DuckmanCycles ive heard there are cr500 endros out there so shouldnt be to hard to find a set up for lights

  • @gump54 Its definately not hard, but I don't want enduro bike lighting, I have other plans.

  • that is one sweet bike man! just wondering what made you decise to convert a dirt bike ibto a street bike?

  • @dillyv69 Because in another video (SV650 with CR500 engine) I put a dirt bike into a street bike and didn't like the results, I wanted something lighter and more maniacal! RAWR!

  • @DuckmanCycles cool man. im going to be putting a yamaha xs 650 engine in to a flat tracer frame

  • @dillyv69 Awesome! I was looking at your channel and didn't find it. Got any videos?

  • @DuckmanCycles so far not of the xs 650 that is going to be my winter project but i have a couple vids of my 1985 yz80 and in one vid i actually do mention the xs flat tracker i mention that and my 1989 yz80

  • @DuckmanCycles yes i do where i mention the bike it is called update vid (JCB) it is the second on my channel it has that bike and my other yz80

  • looove your vids! perfect! im not gonna ask you when it is done, but i hope we can see it run soon :D

  • @rcbuggyracingya Haha! Thanks! :)

  • Hey that looks already very good with the rear brake and the chain on it, your doing good and it is a nice project if you know how to do all that stuff, you doing a awesome job my friend and I appreciate all parts of videos yo make to build up the bike, cool stuff. Keep up the good work.

  • @MagicCadillac Thanks dude, I think this will all work out!

  • i like the part at 5:38 to 8:23

  • @TheTuntso You like the banner, eh? LOL!

  • nice to see some progress ;) how aboat adding som pics of your bikes on facebook?

  • @dementedx Already done, are we not already FB friends? :-P

  • SWEETT!!! i luv it

  • @spidez8407 Thanks! :)

  • Cant wait to see it running

  • @freestyleskier132 Soooooooooooon! Very soooooooooooooon! Really, I just need a proper radiator and I can start it up (and leave it running for a bit) It'll be noisy as hell without the silencer, though, LOL!
