There's a TLC clip (on their site) about how Alexis likes to repeat things to annoy people. Jon and Kate said ever since she and Lissy were babies they did not get along. And in the clip you can tell Lissy was already irked and by Alexis repeatedly asking "is that your puppy?" that just made her leave the room.

It's just a great clip because it's not like Alexis just repeats the question. No she asks it, waits for a response and asks it again.
