Thank you so much !
Very interesting to think of animals as having culture. I wonder if there are many species we identify as showing the ability to develop traditions? The ability to use our language in a correct manner is also fascinating.
By the way, I hear bison are the most dangerous animals in the (Yellowstone) park.
Great talk. Infectious enthusiasm. Dissappointing the daily movement of crows across the city of Vancouver BC not commented on. Causes? Are these crows genetically relaed? More susceptable to West Nile? Other cities? Social behaviour? Why return to Burnaby? Between New Westminster and Vancouver?
@drumsforpete There's a massive feeding ground near Deer Lake Park in Burnaby apparently, I used to live near there, thousands of crows used to fly over my house around 4pm every day, a neighbor told me they went there to feed and then told me a bunch of crow facts, then I became serious about crows.
I think this dude is my relative I'm the only Marzluff in south america.....my grand pa was a German soldier ..... I hope he can read this in order to contact each other...
@FabianMarzluf if you want to contact him, check out the university of washington's website and look at their faculty list and there should be contact info in there somewhere.
Ein wirklich sehr, sehr interessantes Interview.

I'm going to buy a corvid when I'm older. I wanted a black crow or raven but they're illegal in the U.S.

Fascinating. As a schoolboy, I had an interesting confrontation with a magpie that turned out to have been a pet of a local villager.
This reinforces so much as to how we can learn to function sympathetically with life around us. Thanks 5*
