@SwordofManticorE when you read 1Cor it it very obvious Paul is speaking amongst believers at their church in Corinth, he is pointing out their faults within their church, Christ is the foundation and he is teaching believers about building on that foundation. When Paul writes to Timothy as an old man he is advising the young Timothy of whats good to preach to all (1Tim4:9), Jesus is the Saviour of all men, He has the ability to save anyone but not all men want/choose to accept/receive Him

That's the point, Jesus knew that for example, "an eye for and eye, tooth for a tooth" of the OT and the "wrath of God" etc of OT was the OLD WAYS. Metalsoul, I think you miss the point. God didn't make hell for you and me, but was for Satan and his angels who rebelled. God does not send you there. You CHOOSE to go. God provided the way out: HE dwelt on earth as a man, was punished, executed, and even WENT TO HELL for a time. God Himself went so you wouldn't have to go! God is a loving God, but He is also a Holy God, meaning sin cannot exist in his presence.

Hell is a vile, abusive, disgusting concept. God buys love & loyalty with torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. This is the company that God keeps? Karma & Rebirth is the better, the non-violent way. You are not punished, nor are you simply forgiven because you begged enough. The most important aspect of Karma is that you are held accountable for your actions, you are reborn, given another chance to make amends.

The word hell is both a WORD found in many bibles and a DOCTRINE built upon a that word. Truth is, the word 'hell' is not found EVEN ONCE in the origional Hebrew and Greek manuscripts! Hell is an invention of pagans. We have all broken God's laws and deserve His judgement but He made a way for us to miss it. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead so that WE don't have to go to hell. Numbers 23:19 states "God is not a man that He should lie".

Hell is a massive, horrifically immoral lie used by the fundamentalists as a security blanket to prevent themselves from doubting their own position by believing that everyone who doesn't share their viewpoint will suffer eternally for it. The only place where Hell exists is in the empty heads of the religious right. Given that even a newborn baby can't fit inside the average human skull, there's no room in Hell for anyone.

Hell doesn't actually exist in this old misconceived way they try to sell you. It was never in the Bible, and Jesus never actually say anything about a "burning Hell" where sinners go to be tortured. It's all 100% Pagan ideology. But do people realize? No, and quite possibly many don't want to find out the whole truth behind this silly notion.

@BereanBeacon1notice Psalm 146:3-4: “Put not your trust…in the son of man…His breath goes forth, he returns to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.” When people die, their thoughts end immediately—“in that very day.” This verse is not compatible with the idea that the dead are consciously suffering in a place of torment. And there are many more verses to support this.The dead are unaware of what is happening as in a coma. Ask yourself: What would be the point of their suffering?

It is not God who sends people to hell, people send themselves there by choosing to follow an idle life. He will simply not allow these people into his kingdom so where else shall they go? A place where the presence of God is not. The Lords presence contains everything you love. When he dissapears, everything that is unpleasant is left for those who did not wish to follow him. This day I tell you, choose life, and life is our Lord Jesus Christ.

I see no point in the horrible torture and brutal murder of an innocent man/diety to pay for someone else's crimes. It is not moral and certainly not reassuring. The whole religion is based on a human sacrafice!

"pay for someone else's crimes"...Humm, Imagine you love others as much you love your very own children, BUT you also know that your Father's Wrath was still in force!!! You knew HE was WRONG! However, you also knew that you're death would save Billions from your Father's Wrath, and so you suffer/sacrifice instead of them..though pure LOVE..Would You??

That's the point, Jesus knew that for example, "an eye for and eye, tooth for a tooth" of the OT and the "wrath of God" etc of OT was the OLD WAYS. He came to teach NEW ways, forgiveness, love, compassion etc..NT. He came to offer the LAST Sacrifice required of mankind for God. Through Jesus all are saved.

Metalsoul, I think you miss the point. God didn't make hell for you and me, but was for Satan and his angels who rebelled. God does not send you there. You CHOOSE to go. God provided the way out: HE dwelt on earth as a man, was punished, executed, and even WENT TO HELL for a time. God Himself went so you wouldn't have to go! God is a loving God, but He is also a Holy God, meaning sin cannot exist in his presence.
Now, after doing all of that, how can God be painted as "intolerant?"

Ok, if God is as all-knowing and as all-powerful as christians make him out to be, than that means he made me KNOWING FULL WELL the direction my life would take me. If he knows so much, than how can I make my own choices? Free will can't exist with the existence of a god of this magnitude.
I'm not a bad person, yet just because I don't accept this religion means I'm going to burn forever?
Don't act like you know what happens after death... have you been there? didn't think so.

No. It is to accept you are a sinner under the righteous Judgement of an all Holy God, destined for eternal damnation. Then to look to the finished work of Jesus on the cross, believing His death enough to pay the punishment for your sins, then accept His free gift of Salvation.
Repent and be ye converted.
Then be put right.

Fact: people respond the such threats against loved ones
by employing extraordinary measures.
Fact: Christians spend more time watching TV than trying to save their loved ones from unspeakable, eternal torture.

I like Matt 7:21. So it's Jesus standing at the pearly gates of new Jerusalem (heaven) and not St Peter.
So that's it. Jesus has to know us (good or bad). No list of sins and good deeds don't help to get in either.
The question is: if Christian doctrine is so messed up with pagan beliefs and replacement theology etc then is hell really biblical or is it just precepts and traditions of men.

Hell is a vile, abusive, disgusting concept. God buys love & loyalty with torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. This is the company that God keeps? Karma & Rebirth is the better, the non-violent way. You are not punished, nor are you simply forgiven because you begged enough. The most important aspect of Karma is that you are held accountable for your actions, you are reborn, given another chance to make amends.

"Forever' is simply beyond our capacity to grasp as FINITE beings, but aside from that, the incredibly significant fact of how often and how grossly the word "eternity" has been mistranslated in the Bible should merit the further analysis of any "Bible believing Christian".
But even more importantly, throughout the course of history this erroneous doctrine has done far more to drive people away from God than draw them to him. So much for the "good news of the gospel"!
