Perfect fit? Well, not in principle. Hodges with his Bechet background, and Mulligan with his coolness, one could have thought that they make up a mess, together. Instead, they integrate well. Absolutely first rate musicians, who obviously WANTED to harmonize, in spite of all differences in style.
