  • This recording is a great classic. Louis is magnificent as usual during this period. Keep looking in your archives Clive !!

  • Hello Clive! The personal on are: Sop.sax: Buster Bailey Cornet: Louis Armstrong Trombone: Charlie Irvis Banjo: Buddy Christian Piano: Clarence Williams Vocal: Eva Taylor On the 23-24 and 25-11-1924, several recordings were made with Clarence Williams Blue Five, and on only two, Sidney Bechet is replaced by Buster Bailey. On the 24. and. 25. Armstrong replaces Thomas Morris. This information is from my old LP Fontana 682055TL : Sidney Bechet Memorial. Ejnar
  • According to the Smithsonian Institution, the trombone player was Aaron Thompon, not Charlie Irvis. And accoding to the Sidney Bechet Society, he was not present on any of the November 24 sessions except (but uncertain) on 28.11.24 with Sippie Wallace.

  • @Trombone1975 Wow!! Many thanks.
