@pofrani : Yep. I have a video online showing roughly how I made the Mod. As for your next plane. The reliant is nice, but it's not much of an upgrade in regards to learning curve. The T-28 will provide you much more experience and prepare you for sure for some EDF fun. Plus the T-28 is just all around a great plane.
got my t-28D a few weeks ago, as my second plane. i love everything about it except the roll rate. the thing rolls incredibly slow, and you lose a lot of altitude when you do a full roll. i probably could do that kind of flyby, but i would die from being so scared. but to any beginners i would recommend it as a third plane, it is a bit of a hand full at first. for a second, go with a high wing aileron trainer. something like a slow Cessna 182.
@thechoosendude : Oh Lord Yes. I don't think I should have though, my son is claiming half my jets, wanting every other plane in the magazines. Have lots of videos of my son flying. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I remember when i was into RC, if I had done that with a barnstormer or any of the ARFs, they would be done for atleast the day. I landed that way with a styrofoam one and as I walked closer to the crash site I began to see little chunks of stryofoam blow past my feet.
Thanks for the comment! You're right, this T-28 and the Corsair from Parkzone really do take abuse well. They are 2 of my favorite to try crazy stunts with because of their durability and super easy repair! Thanks again!
The Canopy I made myself. I have 2 videos of it, one in action, the other showing how to make it.
As for a very first plane, I wouldnt recommend it. Its very fast and agile. A better very first plane would be the Horizon Hobby Super Cub. Once you can fly the Cub like a champ, the T-28 would be a nice step up.
@bottomgunner yes, what redbarron said is exactly right. but, although the super cub is a faster, better plane, if you don't want to lay out 170 on a first plane, get a skyfly 1 or 2. the skyfly has a plastic body, and can take just about crash you can throw at it. it also has a pusher prop so you will not be going through props left and right. i got my skyfly 1 for 60 bucks new, learned on it, and then got the newer version of the t-28 in this video. but, the skyfly is less aerobatic vs a SC
Great Video! I'm looking at getting one of these as I hear that these are very strong airplanes and after seeing your crash upside down like that with almost no damage, I am convinced that this WILL be my next airplane...perhaps in as few as 8 hours from now!
These were just 2 cool low fly bys that got too low. Had to post. I constantly fly inverted about 1 to 2 inches from the pavement with the T-28. Me gots me up and downs, down. LOL.. Thanks for watching!
nice vid I maidened mine about a week ago first flight went good i was taking it easy second flight got cocky tride a low inverted pass and crashed wing and canopy popped off but i was able to fix with tape and glue
I flew my new T28 yesterday, and she flew really nice! Thanks for the videos of this plane! I dont know if I'll ever be able to fly like you do upside down. And if I did, and I flew that low, I'd have a heartattack! Maybe thats why my old lady says for me to try it! But I wanted to say thanks for these videos and all the emails to help me get going with this plane. I hope you had a Very Merry Christmas!
Put a small scuff on the Canopy and a light rub mark on the tail. But unless you know it happened, it's hardly noticeable. Thanks for viewing and commenting! Its appreciated!
If this is your T28 with the PopUp Canopy, you could do a low inverted fly by, pop the canopy and let it skim the ground, or drop a matchbox car from inside and see if you can get it to roll out! I believe you are just crazy enough to try it. LOL. I laughed too at the kids remarks.

@RCRedBaron
extra servo for the canopy then? which one is best? T28 or a Stinson Reliant? I need a new plane to upgrade from my supercub LP.
I'd like a Habu but not sure i can handle it yet...

pretty cool. I ruined my plane last weekend, tried a bigger battery and folded up the wing. nice flying, but remember to keep the flaps up!

Unfortunately, you either get it or you don't, it really can't be explained. Thanks for watching though.
