actually that is a pretty cool idea , never thought about using a salad spinner to seperate the seeds ,
as for having fresh tomatoes in the winter , you can find them but they might not really be a best choice for a lot of dishes and some times it is just nice not needing to worry about if a the fruit is ripe
so you're telling me that there are times in the US, where there are no tomatoes in the grocery stores? this is bullshit, you dont go out in groceries often dont you? hahahaa. what about importation, most of your tomatoes come from mexico anyway, winter and summer.
lol you made me laught so much, made the US look like the third world for a second.
Isnt California and Texas part of then US too? lol doesnt snow much often there xD
However, in smaller northern Canadian communities, the "fresh" tomatoes obtained in winter are pretty disgusting. They're hardly even red and they taste like ass. They're also twice as expensive as in summer.
Unless your tomatoes are locally sourced/in-season, you're better off with canned tomatoes. They're at least properly ripened as opposed to being picked green and ripened with ethylene gas to survive the journey.
Canned tomatoes don't look attractive because they are peeled and pasteurized. Otherwise, they're just as good.
so much cleanup for so little work done

What country do you live in? In the U.S., you can't always get ripe, tasty tomatoes. In winter, especially, you need to rely on canned.

Canned tomatoes have their place.

If you grow them yourself, sure. But storebought "fresh" tomatoes aren't ripened on the vine. Canned tomatoes are.
CrashGames2108 2 years ago
not in the winter
