@mustangs4u2nv the lightning motor is cheaper and more available than a cobra motor, the lightning has less HP but its got more torque. also wouldnt say its a larger version of a cobra motor, the lightning is a SOHC and the cobra is DOHC. They have different intake systems and the superchargers on them are different. as for the look of it, personally if i had that motor i'd show it off too. It's like having a foot long cock and walking around with it hanging out your fly.
@mustangs4u2nv The 2000 Cobra R is an n/a 5.4 and gets the same numbers as the SC Terminator motor. The Lightning motor is SOHC unlike the Cobra R which is DOHC 32 valve. If he had a Cobra R motor with a supercharger, ya wouldn't be saying the Termi' motor had a higher output. But good luck finding a Cobra R motor, only 300 2000 Cobra R's were made.

The 03- 04 cobra motor was designed for a s/c where the cobra r was not. By all means you can put a blower on it.But take both engines and install a whipple or kb and put 20+ lbs. of boost. The termi engine will out perform the r motor any day. Not to metion that the r motor will blow up.Where a stock termi can handle it.

Adding Hondata onto a CAI setup, and then something like a Comptech Race header will put you over 200whp with a k20a Even if you put in ek or eg civic. I bet that mustang up there makes that at idle
My freind has a STOCK 03 Cobra motor 32V Dohc supercharged with a a stock t56 tranny in his 93 notchback full wieght and runs 10.2 in the quarter. I have a couple of freinds with gutted hatches with swaps 2 with k20 swaps running slicks and can't break 10's. Mind you I said stock k20. Why cant you take a 2001 and up SI with a k20 and run it with a mustang? Because you have stuff a k20 in a little tin can to make it fast!! ITS ALL ABOUT POWER TO WIEGHT RATIO THERE BUDDY.

@MUGENKINGU RWD cars are actualy more balanced for the track, FWD cars are less stable under heavy braking with the front wieght bias, and not to mention the oversteer. dont get me wrong you can have a fast FWD car on a track but it still wont be as stable as a RWD car. theres nothing wrong with american muscle or imports, just respect other peoples taste

I dont get the hate thing every car is cool in its own way. And k20's dont rule everything. People are getting around 185 at the wheels with just I/E. Adding Hondata onto a CAI setup, and then something like a Comptech Race header will put you over 200whp with a k20a Even if you put in ek or eg civic. I bet that mustang up there makes that at idle

My freind has a STOCK 03 Cobra motor 32V Dohc supercharged with a a stock t56 tranny in his 93 notchback full wieght and runs 10.2 in the quarter. I have a couple of freinds with gutted hatches with swaps 2 with k20 swaps running slicks and can't break 10's. Mind you I said stock k20. Why cant you take a 2001 and up SI with a k20 and run it with a mustang? Because you have stuff a k20 in a little tin can to make it fast!! ITS ALL ABOUT POWER TO WIEGHT RATIO THERE BUDDY.
