Agree with what you said in the text tutorial that motion's a better tool for this but I still find it's handy to know how to animate text in final cut for a quick title sequence now and again. This made a good refresher after I hadn't used it for a while - thanks.
Hey there! I'm looking for a tutorial on having a selected portion of text from a document zoom out with the document still in the background while the selected text is in focus and then the selected text falls back into place. Do you have a video tutorial that shows how to do that or will you have one out?
I have a question, everytime I select a text or a video on the canvas, I can't move it or resize it or do anything to it. It appears no 'X' thing that crosses the screen like on 3:28. It's REALLY bugging me, please help me?
@soWAZZAP Go to 'View' - scroll down and select 'Image + Wireframe' - also can be selected using the right hand control button above the middle of both screens.
hey im kinda a noob at this and was wondering how you moved the text around... Whenever I select the text it doesnt get the "X" on the video editor, can you help?
Great tutorial but I have a problem. Whenever I keyframe text in Final Cut, it won't render afterward. When I try to render, the render progress bar shows up for a split second at 0% and then disappears, leaving my keyframed text unrendered. It's super frustrating. I could be just really dumb or something but I can't figure it out.
I think the problem is that you aren't selecting the right clip. Whenever you click a clip in the timeline that is already rendered and fine, and then try to render it, what you just described happens.
Considering the fact that I don't own a Mac or Final Cut and have to use it at school for a class, I don't know everything. Stop trying to be cool on the internet PrestleySnipes.
