  • one more question....

do u use a real desktop?

    or a virtual desktop?

    also if u use virtual

can u send me link ? lol

    thanks

  • @BullseyeVidz I use a virtual machine and no I can't send you a link because it is not a website. The software I use has a website but it is not website based if that is what you mean.

  • @rynesandbergfan23 so like how do u use it?

  • great awesome program.

but i find k9 doesn't block all malware sources but it does the job

    great

Even though u think good websites are good which they really aint and k9 blocks it

    sweet

  • @rynesandbergfan23 Wow, man,...For Kids?.....I'm using it for MYSELF...all you have to do is weed things out by doing a custom install,..I'm not even getting as much spam!! Nor has it shut down anything I normally do... Thanks for a review on a great program!!....antivirus IS becoming a DATED program,,as you stated elsewhere,....good job, man, GOOD JOB!

  • Just wondering, why can't some people take a review of a product for what it is? Why must people continue to argue a point ? This review is specifically intended to HELP parents keep they children safe from viewing inappropriate websites. Many of these sites also leave behind malware. Thus, indirectly keeping the users PC free from malware attack from these sites. It is true that alot of children are PC savy, but there is no subsitute for real parental guidance . Great review, Nick !

  • K9 is not designed to protect againist malware, but it did very damn good as you said!

  • great review is it possible you can compare or better test norton online Family to K9

  • you can unistall K9 by entering the admin password you selected duiring install.

K9 is excellent, I have K9 installed on my son's laptop.

  • Wait, so you can't uninstall it once it's installed?

  • @manfocused No, you need a password to remove the program. Sorry I did not make that clearn.

  • @rynesandbergfan23 so what if you forget your password?

  • @watergaia well first of all when you download the program it will guide you through details.

first it will ask for names and other things

and it will ask for ur email.

    (u need a real email!)

once u registered u will receive an activation code to ur email

u need to activate the program

then once activated it will give u the link to download the program

(if u forget it will send a new code to ur email)

  • So u don't use sandboxie anymore?

  • Also, just use Linux in a bootable enviroment and delete it. Easy. Or use UltraSurf

  • @bbbbweb Well, first of all this is intended for kids. I guarantee you a kid is not going to know how to do either of those things.

  • @rynesandbergfan23 I do know kids who can do that

  • @rynesandbergfan23 Maybe, but they know how to search Google & Youtube :P. To be clear, in this world everything that locks can unlock....

  • @rynesandbergfan23 i do lol :)

  • @bbbbweb Unless they did it perfectly, K-9 would block all internet access unless it was uninstalled.

They could browse using the Linux PE though.

  • @bbbbweb UltraSurf is blocked by k9.

  • @myoblastic not true! i tried it

  • Great review as always! 1st to like , comment!
