I had a biker smash off my wingmirror, after trying to overtake me while he was doing 50-60mph in a 40. Was a B road, hazardous edges, so positioned myself a little center. He then sped off at over 80mph.
Now I feel for cyclists and bikers, lots of asshat drivers about out there, but they do not have a right to speed whenever they see fit and expect others to take responsibility for their recklessness.

No, as it read the road had hazardous edges so you stay away from the edge towards the middle. A car can and should move wherever in the lane is safest and NEVER try to get out of the way of a speeder approaching until there is a full 2nd lane in order to safely do so.
It is the speeding vehicle wishing to pass that has the burden of being able to or calming down and waiting like everyone else.

most bikers i know have both car and motorcycle licences some have hgv and bus licence,s
some also additional training after passing bike tests with iam etc , most car drivers i know just managed to pass a car test , i believe we know a lot more about driving in all conditions than most drivers do , biker only ride bike , car drivers eat , smoke , use phones , put make up on , endless list of dangers that bikers have to watch out for .

Motorcycles, naturally may wish to take the latter, making them mor visible. However, had the motorcyclist in this clip just overtaken the Vectra, it should be noted that the overtake would have been carried out across a solid white line - instantly placing the biker in the wrong.

And i doubt very much that the bike had just overtaken the car because its the biker that's mad and stopped the car. Why would the biker be angry after overtaking someone? I had some idiot motor bike tailgating me yesterday and because it was a very tight road he could not overtake but i was doing the speed limit anyway. so it was like this for about 10miles then the road got wider and the guy overtook me and punch my mirror off and then stuck his finger up at me, what an idiot, saw him again today but in-case he tries it again, i have welded some bits of steel box section in side the mirror housing. hehe if the tries it again he will get a shock.

most bikers i know have both car and motorcycle licences some have hgv and bus licence,s
some also additional training after passing bike tests with iam etc , most car drivers i know just managed to pass a car test , i believe we know a lot more about driving in all conditions than most drivers do , biker only ride bike , car drivers eat , smoke , use phones , put make up on , endless list of dangers that bikers have to watch out for .

I got hit 2 weeks ago i was doing was riding down the centre of my lane doing 25 mph and a guy in his tincan decided to just pull out of a side road and he clipped me on my exhaust on the left hand side pushed me a few feet to the side but i managed to stop safetly and my bike isnt exactly small and i had my lights on and high vis i was lucky to not have had my leg crushed

However, had the motorcyclist in this clip just overtaken the Vectra, it should be noted that the overtake would have been carried out across a solid white line - instantly placing the biker in the wrong.

I had some idiot motor bike tailgating me yesterday and because it was a very tight road he could not overtake but i was doing the speed limit anyway. so it was like this for about 10miles then the road got wider and the guy overtook me and punch my mirror off and then stuck his finger up at me, what an idiot, saw him again today but in-case he tries it again, i have welded some bits of steel box section in side the mirror housing. hehe if the tries it again he will get a shock.
