@Tazza17 "Oh dear she needs to answer the questions!" allow me to translate Mr shills comments "Oh dear she won't take the bate and allow jeremy to take the attention away from the reason for the protest" No wonder jeremy is getting angry when he is payed by the elite to steer public opinion away from the real issues and it's not quite working with claire.
@beavorpigs "She is getting owned and owned over and over again"... right that's why you need to come on youtube and tell us (where's the rolles eyes smiley when you need it?) does the old "lets make 10 different names and comment that such and such person is this and that then people will then believe it" tactic even work anymore ?
Here is a lesson: Find yourself in Clare's position, you must first apologise profusely and explain your actions as best you can. Prepare this before hand so that it can be tackled quickly, you are then more able to control the conversation and move it onto the real debate. Spending the first 4 minutes evading the question will invalidate every other point that you'll try to make. Preparation is everything.
@TherymasterWidnes Yes she is a bum. I agree! Students in the main go on to do very well and pay lots of tax in their future BUT this moron in an ass. I have been a student twice and I have always found that these idiots are more self serving than anything else.
@TheGbgold Personally I would like it. But then I know that you just answer the question and move on and the weasel next to you gets to look like a prat. And I don't do things I am ashamed of in the cold light of day so he can't quiz me for minutes on breaking into buildings etc.
I'm a student, and I think these idiotic 'revolutionaries' ought to grow up. Most of them haven't worked. (I had to work 15 hours a week on top of my A-levels) and I hate to brag, but I also achieved two A*s and an A. Firstly, education in the UK is still much cheaper than it is in many other nations. Secondly, these idiots ought to get some real problems, most of those who protest will never earn the £60K required before debt payment is required anyway, especially if they go to a former poly.
@ColoriProductions three corrections in your statement, people have to earn way less than £60k before they are required to pay the debt! Plenty of the people on the march will earn enough to have to pay their debt and finally i know lots of people who have graduated from former poly's and earn equal or more than people who have graduated from the 'good' universities !!
@individuality1988 To be fair, many of the 'poly-students' probably don't have the social skills to climb too far up the 'greasy pole'. As for the champagne socialists, they'll likely ditch their crazy beliefs as soon as it becomes apparent that socialism is detrimental to the prosperity of their career. Regardless of what I believe, I'm not saying socialism is a bad thing (whilst it is), but these 'students' are hypocritical materialistic idiots who ought to learn some respect for authority.
@ColoriProductions i can't believe how judgemental your being . exams that determine which uni you go to don't measure social skills. my brother is at a 'poly' uni had as much better social skill that a large about of people at my uni, which isn't a 'poly' uni. you still haven't addressed my point about getting the figures wrong. Respect for authority! surely if you believe authority is doing something wrong you try and do something about it e.g protest
@individuality1988 The point of raising the fees is so that those who really want to go to university will, and those who just want to mess around reading 'Media Studies' will realise that there is no point in making the monetary commitment. Yes, I agree, I was being short sighted, if you have the skills, personality and determination, you will get to where you want to be regardless. The protests were stupid but acceptable excluding the atrocious vandalism/violence. Not the way to sway opinion.
@ColoriProductions I get some of your point but there are people who really want to go to uni but won't because of the raise in fee's. Again you are being short sighted there is nothing wrong with reading 'media studies' it can be a valuable course. I bet you think an art degree is a waste of time for people who just want to mess about as well.
@CreepyBacon Gross generalisation. Some of us spend our days actually studying and trying to better ourselves as intellectual, forward thinking individuals. There are bad eggs in every group of individuals, not just students.
There were undercover police men deliberatly causing people to riot! Look at the bigger picture people! But of course the news wont report that because the government doesnt want us to know!
@EnterprisesB No. Because the police want to cause anger to happen in protests so rioting can happen. This means the students get blamed and get a bad name. Look at some of the tactics of undercover police officers on youtube sites. Im not making this up!
@zfiles4me Yeah, but there are people that just look to cause trouble, wether what you say is true is probably something different, half of these people just wanted to cause trouble i recon, the police cannot be blamed for that :/ lol
it wasn't a conspiracy of protesters back then, it was spontaneous and highlighted the anger people felt. If people don't want this anger, inr protests or riots, then we need to address the causes... an illegitimate and undemocratic government, unleashing policies of austerity whilst the rich get richer and richer. 1 million young people are unemployed, yet education opportunities are being slashed. This destruction of opportunity is the real vandalism
I wish people would judge the student marches on what they were marching about NOT the consequences of people acting like idiots who have nothing to do with it foundations! Especially when it’s coming from someone who went to Uni, and didn’t have to pay a thing for that basic right.
Does anyone actually believe that everyone that turned up on the student marches were in fact students! Look at the history of marches, Countryside Alliance, G8 or the Capitalism marches recently, ‘marches’ attract people whose sole purpose is to fight and clash. London riots are evidence to that.
solomon dont fight it any longer. you know its inevitable you have to contribute to society at some point STOP FREELOADING MISS TAX DODGER GET A PROPER JOB pay your dues
Attacking political institutions and places of culture should be condemned no matter what. I hate how people think breaking apart buildings should be considered "fair protest". It isn't fair, and it's not protest. It's vandalism.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA "The doors were open" Fuck me down, i've heard it all now. Students make me laugh. They think they can break the law whenever they want, just because they have to pay a bit of money to further their education. I think it's us workers who are the mugs though, students get discounts on everything, cinema, clothes, food, travel, etc etc. They pay no tax, then get a job that will pay loads of money, yet still moan. The ungrateful unwashed criminal turds.
@tonester09 As for the 'discounts' they are only about 10-20% which is nothing plus not all students get high flying jobs! They are finding it harder and harder to get jobs when they graduate.
@lumpfish99 that's a bit out of context though isnt it? i dont think they were talking about the mass genocide of a culture were they now! but in a situation like that there was no justification for the way some of those students acted.
@dgibson90 well technically they were...the culture of free education to all which is part of the reason that britain is great britain.....btw, i dont know how old you are or how up to speed you keep on current events but in my experience peaceful protests are always ignored.
@lumpfish99 im 21, and a 4th year student and i keep pretty well informed! i agree that peaceful protests have done little but with hindsight i would say that the point of the student protests were lost on the fact that a minority behaved violently. it completely shifted the focus and belittled the point they were making. but that's just my opinion. one of my best friend's is an avid activist would be quick to prove me wrong but im yet to see the gains from the way they acted.
LOL students. what a waste of fucking time ey. I always said if they wanted to make a real impact, they should all have dropped out of unviersity and done an occupy downing street for 6 months. the money was there, it was just given away to the banks.
