This is one of the best interpretations, along with Karajan - Mutter version. Those kind of pieces don't sound well when played in a too presto show off manner. You must be left enough room to respirate the tune.

When I'm studying super-hard physics and math, I keep playing this song over and over, and I feel like Einstein. If I get stuck on a problem, I increase the play speed, and I feel like my brain goes into hyper-drive mode. When the music stops, I feel like my brain shuts down. Without it, I feel like I have an IQ of a squirrel. After listing to this straight for hours, it seems to have less of an effect. I found that by playing the piece backwards makes me act like I'm insane however.

I owe most, if not all, of my passion for Violin and classical music to Vivaldi. Its my personal claim to a romance story, but hey, I fell in love with this piece and 'faux-violin'ed it over and over before I knew the beauty of other songs. It is from this piece that my roots grew, and it is with Vivaldi that my musical heart lies. It is a passion equally dosed with its pains as I cannot yet play this piece as I would like to.

This brings back wonderful memories of my youth, thank you!

I'm not a classic music fun but this song makes me shivering. It's just a bit of shame though that this video has 11.000 views whereas the 'Storm' from Vanessa Mae has 173.000. I mean we have to pay some respect to the original composer. Oh, well that's life i suppose.

beatiful but on my CD at home, the tempo is ever slightly faster but it makes a huge difference and it sounds almost overwhelming, in a good way of course.

agree.. i have been trying to find the right tempo on youtube. the problem is when the tempo is right, the instruments aren't. and something or the other is not to my taste!! :)
