I heard that you could play as the zulus too... but that might be a later expansion... you should be able to be china as well and native americans or mexico. we'll see when the expansion pack comes out

So far the confirmed playable nations are Prussia, France, Russia, Great Britain, Spain, Ottoman Empire, Polish-Lituanian Commonwealth, United Provinces of the Dutch Republic, Sweden, and the Thirteen Colonies (early USA). The Mughal Empire (Indian Subcontinent) is also likely.
