LOL Just teasing. They go inside by themselves because that is their home. They feel safe there. And we lock them up so the wild animals don't eat them at night.

They do. Last month I went to lock up my chickens and one of my hand trained babies was being eaten by a opposum. And this summer a skunk got one of them. Last summer a pack of coyotes got 4 chickens in one day. Feathers were everywhere. Never seen a wild cat though, just cats people drop off in the country. As for them coming into the house... they are afraid of us so they would never come inside, unless they were rabid. At least in Kansas we don't have many dangerous snakes.

Thank you! I didn't plant anything in the orchard that's in bloom, but it was nice to pick a pear at breakfast this morning. We really only have 9 acres out here, but are surrounded by other farmers- so it seems like more. I grew up in the city, so I adore the country even more than I ever imagined.
