I have never felt so PISSED OFF at any boss fight in any Castlevania game...

why you don't backdash? There's no need in walking.

Equip moonwalkers to make dash longer and use backdash when he's punching, use forward slide when he's using fireballs. Jump when needed - that's all.

Are there any items I can equip to reduce dark damage? I'm taking 200+ damage from the shadow balls, and around 150 with the claws :/ I'm level 28 currently

lol should've known. It was just glyph union using two nitescos.

Normally I use a short ranged weapon paired with nitesco which is why I didn't think of this at first.

you know,when i discover by myself nitescto was the best weapon to defeat him,i use nitesco+sword+dominius agony(i think that was,the one who gives you an INCREDIBLE status),and just totaly DESTROY this anoying boss......i were so happy XD!

1: for the triple claw I double jump the first. down kick to the ground for the 2nd, then jump up again.

2: you did exactly how I vsed him. Except if I knew the combination would work back then I would'ved used a 2nd sleeve for nitesco + random weapon glyph for nitesco sword spam when I got pipped off.

3: most annoying combo: farside triple meteor drop and triple claw straight after, impossible to dodge without getting raped. -_-'

4: awesome job. :D he's an awesome boss, but outright annoying...

I have a friend who has played every single Castlevania ever made and he states that this is the hardest game in the series. I bought it myself... and then exchanged the game for something I could actually play. This game literally screams CASUAL GAMERS UNWELCOME!!!! HARDCORE PLAYERS ONLY!!!

my strategy,get a shitload of heart repairs and healing items(or juz heal items) and equip vol secare and nitesco and DOMINUS AGONY(yes equip it,im not fucking around) and activate dominus agony and spam the glyph union,heal whenever u wan,i was lv29 and i did 800 damage each union,if u run out of hearts,use the heart repairs and carry on,or swap vol secare wif nitesco and spam nitesco,the end,no fucking medal

I thought this guy was actually kind of easy, long as you had some healing items and duel Nitesco. His attacks were predictable and easy to dodge(well, sometimes the claw was hard) Anyway as long as you werent going for the medal, it was easy. Just untion nitesco then keep on using it by itself. When your health gets to low, heal

I actually was able to beat this boss on my third try. I didn't know using the laser glyph worked best on him and I was playing around with it since I got it right before the battle. The first attempt he like 2 shotted me, though. He did his ball + claw attack which hit for around 300, twice. X_X

I made this fight much easier by equipping the onyx pin and diamond ring, activating Fides Fio, then spamming Nitesco on him. That made the battle much easier.

Combining a dark and light glyph results in the most powerful attack in the game. Vol Illuminato is more damaging than Nitesco but is not as fast. I find using the Glyph you absorb from Albus to be the best in the game besides Nitesco.

I used the fire pilar and ice pilar attacks (forgot the name) combined to beat him, it was easy after I learned his movements.

I was trying to get the medal for him on my first play-through and he kept making me reset my game... I got so frustrated that whenever he said "I will take your shadow." I replied "I will take your life!".

I was lvl 22 when I beat him. I fought him so many times so that I knew all of his movements. He just hit me once. ^^ Still he's pretty fast.

just vol luminatio on x and y and on r domnius and do hit him about 10 times then do 3 times best atack it will take about 5 sec to defeat him this way

Y-Nitesco

X-Vol Luminatio

R-Fortis Fio

It's really useful against this boss... but still takes me a lot of life.

Use the glyph union for vol umbra and vol luminatio with the death ring equipped. does the most damage.

For me, the most annoying thing about Blackmore is the occasional, or should I say often-times, pixel-perfect dodging required against his claw attacks; a little further from the wall and you'll get hit. Not fun. Although once I know his patterns, he's pretty easy as heck, although still noticably tedious. And I find him actually easier in hard mode.

Blackmore is one of my favorite bosses in this game. He was hard, but he was fun. It was especially fun fighting him at lv. 23. Erg...

Try a hard level 1 cap no previously acquired items run. I actually had to resort to using my Death Ring when facing Death. Inflicting 50+ HP/hit with Nitesco made the battle a lot shorter. I would make videos of my gameplay...if I wasn't playing on my DS. My PC lags too much to play well.

Oh yeah, there is no attack. However, if you equip two death rings, use dominus agony, max out your attribute point, and glyph union nitesco + weapon, you can kill him even faster than that. Did you see those boss rush video in 39 sec or 22 sec that someone uploaded. I learned from there.

The attribute point is only minor, the important thing is that you are willing to take risk with the double death ring and dominus agony.
