  • Quite imformative! Excellent speech. Explain this information in more simple terms, and you'll reach more people.

  • So i came across your video when i was trying to find answers as to what happened to me the other night when i had a psychosis experience my first time smoking cannabis. You're cute as hell.. so it was hard to focus on what you were talking about :P

  • you need to be better spokeb before putting out a 10 minute video with you trying to recite facts you attempted to memorize. Ummmmm uhhhhh

  • Yup, propaganda! And all these fuckin nitwits buying into that shit don't even realize that they're the crazy ones that can't even think for themselves.

And Yes, I'm always telling my friend that: legalizing marijuana wouldn't encourage more people to smoke it. Anyone who is willing to smoke it WILL, legal or not. That's pretty much a fact!

The thing that would change drastically, however, is the crime-rate correlated with selling marijuana. What more can we ask for as peace-loving citizens?

  • @pein05

exactly,in my country you can aquire salvia and peyote/san pedro legally, and most people here dont even know that these plants are psychelellic,on the other side everyone who is interested in psychedellic drugs is glad about this and can easily get them

i just wish the same would be for weed also, its even a far less potent drug then most legal drugs

  • good shit

  • Didn't even watch this but I'm willing to bet everyone liking it has such shit for brains due to smoking that shitty boring lowlife drug to even begin thinking of such theories

  • oh no i ODd on cannabis/mariwanna now i am schizoid ahh

  • no cannabis causes schizophrenia

  • You have pretty upgraded terminology but youre not really building any type of theory here, youre just jerking off your academia in my face and I LOVE IT

  • Schizophrenia causes cannabis.

  • @stuqua In turn, apathy, noob!

  • @starbobpizza

You are to be commended for the boundless motivation that you show in running around You Tube ranting and repetitively calling people noobs.

  • @stuqua It's called spreading the truth, of which will set one free, just like it did for OJ Simpson!

  • This guys a goof, they teach you the difference between cause and correlation in first year uni courses and hes struggling to explain it. And criticizing the predictive validity of NIDA studies is calling a spade a spade. If you read through a bunch of different kinds of studies about the link between weed and schizophrenia you'd probably see that there's a huge discrepancy between the amount of schizophrenics without any signs of genetic risk that smoked too much and those that didn't.

  • Ok expert

  • Hey ive had acute psychosis frm havin a joint while cumin down frm mdma n it was a fuckin livin nightmare.stil do drugs tho :)

  • You're so spot on! Psychiatric drugs like anti-depressants for example cause some people to become violent, homicidal, or suicidal. Marijuana is just an herb. It's not dangerous. What's dangerous is lying to keep people ignorant. I mean maybe it would help some people. And you're right, there is no "normal"...great video!

  • it's like saying everybody found guilty of witchcraft in the 17th century had a higher chance of a premature death, so witchcraft is bad for your health. Yeah, because we killed them!

so every long term smoker has a higher chance of schizophrenia, because every long term smoker has had to dodge fascists and the law every day for decades. a constant pressure like that is gonna mess you up fun time.

  • @JackevAll So true man. Having to hide 20 after 20 in my pooper has screwed me up, I tell ya

  • This is simply one of the best, most accurate videos on psychosis, cannabis, etc. and is 100% true to my experience and ensuing study of my own consciousness. If you are reading this comment, please accept a kind hearted thank you for your work (play) and that there are others who feel what you are saying is very, very real - more real than anything a doctor may tell you is 'real' or 'not real'. Cheers. Namaste

  • yeah... i know :P im just trying to be an ass. im sure that is the type of thing the docs would say to you tho, last time i went in for blood work the dr seen thc and started off on a tangent looking down and anywhere but my eyes about how bad it is and what schizophrenia's and other conditions you will get from it. >< damn drs

  • o also, for more research on how they set up the atmosphere of "do i have a mental problem?" refer to a documentary called :marketing of madness. its all about how they made a market out of everyone in america, by giving out b.s definitions of what a mental condition is, and o look, we have drugs for that ;)

  • 3:58 "experiencial" ... that is a new word. im sorry, but combining words and free flowing discombobulated speech like yours is #1 sign of schizophrenia taking shape in your mind >< so they would have you believe..

  • @CERBERUS300ify experiential...is a word. Look it up.

  • You are really intelligent. I have never said that to anyone before, but you really are redliterocket4

  • I love you!

  • I've been saying this for a while. Even heavy short term use, can cause psychosis in a significant number of people. It causes brain damage, reducing the size of the hippocampus and amygdala.

  • Cannabis flower extract heals schizophrenia and every other kind of mental disorders ~ OneLove ~ JBB

  • thank you for not having adverts on your video... god, what does that mean that I now have to start thanking people for that

  • @costa020 no kidding, I'm sick of constantly being exposed to someone trying to sell me something. Being upsold at the store ... 'you want lottery ticket?' .....

.... but yeah, a poor balance of CBD messes with the brain and have seen it's negative affect exaserbating, or triggering 'panic attacks'. I've always suspected the chem's used by some grower who didn't flush properly. But that's only my guess.

  • @redliterocket4 Well, interesting video, man. I loved it! Likes*

I was just wondering if you would watch a video of mine? It's called "Marijuana: Fix Bayonets, my fellow scholars!". The links that I used are provided in the video, and I mainly discuss the anti-psychotic effects of CBD(the 2nd most abundant cannabinoid in marijuana). Please, watch and tell me what you think.

  • I have schizophrenia. I'm currently have three voices telling me to do some pretty wicked things. I use marijuana to slow my thought process to s level i understand. I I am often high in public to help me to start talking to people more to become more socialable. I know from experience it helps with verbal communication.

  • On spirituality. I have smoked, eaten and thoroughly enjoyed cannabis in many different forms. I am not in the slightest spiritual. But I take your point on cannabis inducing deeper thought processes. Maybe if one has a parnoid disposition then those thoughts will be paranoid in nature. But psychosis? There is no real link that I can discern. The problem with meta-analyses is that the original tests may have been flawed. Meta-analysis should only be preliminary to further experimentation...

  • it could be possible that it both speeds up development of schizophrenia and also at the same time treats the symptoms. you are right to point out the flaws in the studies. but if you don't have the genes for schizophrenia then keep smoking if you want, it doesn't matter.

  • it can increase your chance of developing schizophrenia. okay may be true. but if my chances of developing schizophrenia are 1 in 1000000 that would mean my chances are 1.4 in 1000000 after smoking 1 joint? does that make sence?

    keep up the brilliant work...

    anyways one love from ireland!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Hally6 Thats a GREAT, GREAT, movie. I've watched like 3 times, and I only found out about it a couple months ago.

  • I wish that I could like this video more than once. I could not agree more. To say that Cannabis causes mental problems is ludicrous, though I do believe that it may aggravate previous mental conditions in some cases (@BlitzClub). I have suffered from ADD and mild depression from a young age and have only felt the beneficial effect of this wonderful plant.

To all the haters: Respect freedom of choice!

  • I am a schizophrenic, caused by marijuana usage. Too bad assholes like you look at studies and not real people like me. I have caused serious pyshical harm while high.

  • @BlitzClub Lmao you're an idiot. That's why you're schizophrenic and caused yourself harm. You choose to be ignorant, it has nothing to do with Cannabis. Sit your ass down on a nice comfy couch and watch tv or sit in a peaceful park next time, then maybe you won't "hurt yourself".

  • Those with actual cannabis-induced psychosis are too weak. Those with a tough prefrontal cortex can handle cannabis smoothly.

  • @zimtower I can handle it smoothly.. I love it !!! Nothing else clears my stress, cures my arthritis, and treats my chronic anxiety disorder (yes it does work for this). . It also allows me to sleep soundly, appreciate nature much more, and tolerate the stresses of life in general with a very positive attitude. And not to forget that Cannabis is completely safe and effective (and the high is incredibly wonderful)

  • redliterrocket4 very wise words. I can tell you have a deep passion for cannabis and i respect that. I feel like when i smoke the herb I get a sense of deep awareness and compassion similar to yours. all my senses tend to heighten immensely and improve basically every aspect of my life. i spit ideas out and compose my thoughts together like the great buddha did.

  • @QuantumQuacks Marijuana doesn't harm the lungs in anyway, but consuming harsh smoke from any material is damaging to the lungs. I suggest getting a vaporizer or eating pot edibles to completely remove the risk of lung damage. Also, rarely anyone smokes enough pot to get holes in their lungs by the age of 22, and if they do(which i doubt considering you likey made it up on spot, no sources), it is clear to say they are heavy pot smokers and tobbacco smokers.

  • It lays back your ego, dude. Which is partly a good thing, concerning the way the modern western people live. But a more rewarding goal would be to expand your ego while modifying it contextually This means we need something like anit-cannabis, for real. Need to get more egocentric but still learn to chill and think deeply, and stick to our immaterial ideals and values. Need to learn to be modest yet dilligent, having a goal yet an open mind. Need to get super-anthropocentric yet good to nature.

  • @QuantumQuacks And you must be one of those ignorant "Quantum Physics" guys that think they know everything about Quantum Physics. Well, if you knew at all about QP you'd know that it contradicts with a lot of what Science says. Even though it is a form of Science in it's own. Have you ever smoked before? I am seventeen and I sure am not an ignorant teenager. I encourage you to rebutle! Please enlighten me with your intellect of a second grader! Make it quick. My fingers are itching to own you.

  • @QuantumQuacks What does it matter the sources if the outcomes of the studies are the same and the message is the same? Holes in your lung? Where the hell did you hear that? Willie Nelson has been smoking for DECADES and is extremely healthy and has great stamina in his singing. Me, I've been smoking for many years. I am a bodybuilder and am fit as a fiddle. Cannabis has almost ZERO negative affects on the body.

  • @QuantumQuacks shut the fuck up. your making yourself look like a douchebag. which you probably are.

  • the second article is entitled to suggest it is about how marijuana can cure schizophrenia, but the entire article other than the first sentence is about how marijuana CAUSES schizophrenia, which makes me think the people who wrote it are probably psychotic.

  • you're a cool guy. This video is approved.

  • Has anyone ever thought that maybe the correlation between weed and psychosis is due to the fact that people with mental illness would try to get relief from weed?

Not that people who use weed get mental illness?

  • Nice video man, I agree for the most part. However, Atheism does not automatically mean close mindedness. It only means, disbelief in any of the Gods put forth by religion, due to lack of evidence. I mean, look at the people who have promoted this psychedelic way of thinking throughout History, nearly all of them atheists. All the best philosophers of the past few centuries have been atheists. Atheism is does not mean close mindedness; it means the exact opposite of that in most cases.

  • hey man, you live in the fucking jungle, thats gotta be nice, i live in fucking sweden, smoking weed here sucks this time of year

  • LSD

  • a conspiracy!! notice how they publish those studies around the same time legal synthetic/spice was selling, and its STILL selling in stores around here despite the "ban"

  • I feel you. Interesting stuff.

  • Stoner!!!!!

  • weed isnt what it used to be, today growers try to get as much THC out of their plants as possible without accounting for cannabinoids.. i think without a balance of these two chemicals, THC ( the psychoactive component) of weed is what can trigger possible psychosis in people

  • Why don't you read some peer reviewed articles....? The links in your description are just articles written by journalists.. They tend to bend the actual study in which they get information from and it leads to deceptive flaws to fit their bias.. The studies of marijuana : psychosis is fairly strong though.. Although not a direct cause, it is intriguingly correlated.. Yet, most tokers don't look at academic research for their own and reject any stigma against the demerit of MJ.. p.s, i smoke

  • @iig0tem I agree that people with a genetic predisposition don't need to smoke marijuana with a high THC(psychoactive chemical compound) content. However, cannabis indica contains a higher content of cannabidiol. CBD has been proven to be an anti-psychotic chemical compound. It's pretty chill.

  • @iig0tem (Cont.) A genetic predisposition to a mental illness, of course. Sorry, I don't think I said that verbatim in the last post.

  • i got busted for smoking hash\weed and the cops and child welfare told me do you know what damages it have on you? i said no. they said you can get psychosis! and i said ye i know. but still... there aint any proof i think that this psychosis then is just a different look on the way of life, and it change very much from person to person. or maybe their just very paranoid and pissed of from getting a fucked up life, not because of marijuana but because of the punishment of using it, legalize it

  • i beleive that cannabis is good and bad for some people. for some people it can trip out their mind, but for others it helps them except thing, be more calm, peaceful, less selfish, and while hi able to think things out better because of stimulated thought. as far as schizophrenia goes, i beleive you'd have to start smoking cannabis all the time and be very young. the older you wait to smoke cannabis, the better it will be for most people.

  • Too much seroquil causes psychosis ... in me and it is an Anti-psychotic !? {wierd} Did the study use smokers or vaporizers , because vaporizers target from the heat setting at certain flash points where the elements like THC boil off into gas or vapor .. there are about 8 elements that will boil off . out of 390 or 418? I am not sure. Except that Normal is the setting on the washing machine.

  • I like the way you reason !

  • ... Taken collectively, exposure to cannabis is neither a necessary nor a sufficient cause of schizophrenia... More likely, cannabis exposure is a component or contributing cause that interacts with other known (genetic, environmental) and unknown factors, culminating in schizophrenia."- Cannabis and psychosis/schizophrenia: human studies/ Deepak Cyril D’Souza, Richard Andrew Sewell and Mohini Ranganathan/ European Archives of Psychiatry and Clinical Neuroscience/ PMCID: PMC2864503

    (2)

  • "The relationship between cannabis exposure and schizophrenia fulfills some but not all of the usual criteria for causality. Despite some empirical support for a causal hypothesis between cannabis use and psychotic outcome, most people who use cannabis do not develop schizophrenia, and most people with schizophrenia have never used cannabis...

    (1)

  • Far out

  • FRAGRANCE of cannabis can tell you WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more than any random name. it may have. Peep iStrainGuide (on iPhone) and truly find yourself educated.

  • "I've been a Doctor now for 30 some years & the number of patients I've admitted to the hospital with complications related to Marijuana use was exactly one (related to Alcohol is enormous). When I was an intern in 1978, somebody smoked Cannabis laced with PCP & had a psychotic reaction."

    Dr. Donald Abrams

  • Lol you actually quoted the dailymail? Everyone in Britain knows they are a joke, some of the things they have genuinely claimed cause cancer? Cheese chips alcohol being a woman being a man being black pork and ham

No lies, in fact they have some balls to print it cause it's 60 pages of scary bullshit

  • keep it up. your a good speaker i enjoyed hearing what you had to say

  • If it wasnt illegal people wouldn't feel the need to feel paranoid!!

  • "Suddenly you realize that you are surrounded by lies everywhere and you get a different scope of reality"

= And they call that psychosis

  • @CannabisCorporation

Dude you are so right man!

  • My strong belief is that Cannabis is a mind-opening drug. If you have any sort of excess anxiety, or schizotypal behaviour then it will be MANIFEST when you smoke weed. The proof that weed doesn't cause psychotic behaviour, is that it doesn't cause it in everyone. When it does, it's always in a person who is ALREADY prone to schizophrenic thoughts. Excess anxiety and paranoid thoughts are closely linked, and more people have a mild schizophrenia than is realized. Change of diet can help most.

  • So cannabis makes you think.. deeper? GO CANNABIS!!! :D

  • Have you considered a career in Education, I think your a very confident speaker, and would make a good professor someday. Best of luck

  • I agree, but I think it's more the fact that people who start with cannabis or a similar drug, often move on to other, more harmful drugs. I know I'll probs get a lot of shit for this comment, but this is just my opinion. I have no problem with cannabis itself.

  • @Madzookeeper

That gate way theory is crap it most likly starts with soda, caffeine and sugar. then goes to your parents booze

  • @grycassey What?

  • @Madzookeeper I believe he meant...There are 21.8 million illicit drug users.16.7 million of those 21.8 million illicit drug users use marijuana. The other 5.1 million use ecstasy, cocaine, meth, et cetera. This was the 2009 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, an annual survey sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse. The numbers would be more balanced if marijuana was a gateway drug.

The Institute of Medicine has declared that Marijuana is not a gateway drug!

  • @zekdom Fair point, but personally I know and have helped a lot of people who did use marijuana as a gateway drug and regretted it ever since. That statistic may well be true, but I know for a lot of my close friends that's not the case.

  • @Madzookeeper Well, marijuana does open a gateway to a criminal market that has access to narcotics. Either the drug dealers lace the pot with a narcotic, or people just intended to do the whole drug thing for kicks and giggles. I personally know many pot smokers that have smoked it for years. They never have any desire to try narcotics. Have all heroin, cocaine, and meth users start off with pot? Statistics show that the majority has, but only because marijuana is more available.

  • @Madzookeeper (Cont.) Which is why present narcotic-users started off with pot, because it is the most popular illicit drug available to everybody. The majority of people usually get their pot from a trusted friend. That's why the majority of pot users don't get their weed laced, and live out their lives. I'm sorry for your friends. That is very unfortunate. I guess I should be thankful that my associates and friends have been blessed to get their pot from trusted resources.

  • @zekdom It's just a tricky subject. I mean the reliability of the dealer is another subject really, cos obviously no-one deliberately goes to a bad dealer, but I don't really have any problem with the drug itself. I just think that really marijuana was the root cause of their new addictions (even though their source was probably laced), and that they might not be in the position they are today had they not encountered it.

  • @Madzookeeper Good point...You really can't tell which drug dealer is chill, and which drug dealer just wants money. You're right. If your friends didn't do it, then they probably wouldn't be in the position that they're in. I think that is all the more reason to legalize it. People with liscenses could sell it, and have the government observe them to make sure that they arn't breaking the rules. People wouldn't be forced to go to a drug dealer if it was legal, they could go to a pot shop.

  • @zekdom That would be the best outcome really, but I just can't see it happening. At least not any time soon. Damn, the government never seems to get it right. They never see the bigger picture.

  • @Madzookeeper Truth be told, I don't see it happening either. To an extent, of course. 15 states, along with Washington D.C., have legalized marijuana for medicinal use on a state level. Arizona, a conservative state, was the 15th state to make it legal for medicinal purposes recently. Pat Robertson came out in favor of decriminalizing marijuana. It may not be legalized in our lifetime, but it is making progress. The negative social stigma attached to marijuana must be lifted.

  • @grycassey it starts with the first "whizzy" when ur a young child ...one of ur first "natural highs" TOOT TOOT onwards & uowards!

  • Surely the illegallity of it aids the paranoia in individuals that would be paranoid anyway.

  • Basically according to Prof. David Nutt, 40% of the schizophrenics involved in the study had admitted to having smoked at least one joint in their lives. This basically reflects the amount of the general populous who have also admitted to smoking marijuana. Its potency has increased in the past 30 years, amount of users has increased but the \mount of schizofrenics stays the same - 1%. This shows people who experience pyschotic symptoms after cannabis were already predisposed to suffering from t

  • @stoxocube18 these symptoms at a later stage in their life. The fact that they smoked weed was a scapegoat.

  • WELL SAID..

  • The very illegality of cannabis is what makes it dangerous. However bad anyone tries to tell you it is remember it is far safer than alcohol and tobacco and the majority of prescription drugs. Dont abuse it though, The symptoms of pyschosis presented that was most common is not voices in your head, but derealisation - meaning when you smoke the world seems more surreal and reality is dispplaced and if you put yourself in this state of mind everyday its likely that you will develop this symptom

  • I have a genetic pre-disposition to cannabis (I get really high just from 1 toke)

I smoked for around 10 years and developed psychosis and schizophrenia. But to tell you the truth, I would not change it for anything in the world. This drug allowed me to connect to my inner self and Iit has triggered my kundalini/chakra awakening. Apart from the possibly dangerous side effects, cannabis is the fast track to enlightenment if you treat it with the respect it deserves.

  • @Christopher1987uk what did you mean by kundalini/chakra ? Just out of interest ......

  • @DuggyJ027 it is the most guarded secret in the western world. Basically it is activating your subconscious mind, ever heard of "chi" energy from all those martial arts programs and stuff? same shit. Kundalini purifies your mind and body and gives you good health, also advanced training can give you gifts like Telepathy and the ability to have more than 1 body. You can do it in your sleep ussually, most people call it Astral Projection/Out of body experience. I am able to do this myself.

  • @DuggyJ027 Also the reason it is kept secret is because capitalist governments dont want poeple to have an awakening because Kundalini/Chakras gives you inner pleasure which means you wont be out buying the latest computer games, fashion clothes etc... they want to make money out of you and want you to become a machine working 24/7. This is the reson they put fluoride in the water in my country to destroy your pineal gland (third eye) and stop people from awakening.

  • @Christopher1987uk thats soo true bro...people are way to brainwashed to even comprehend that as a truth...

  • I like you man you're a smart guy. opened up some different views on some things.

  • I like your reporting, you are a very smart man... thank you

  • i ate too much spacecookies and had an overdose twice. i had halucinations, too :S i actually got panic attacks because of cannabis, but not because of cannabis itself, the problem was that i was of afraid of becoming schizophrene and that fear turned into panic. i know now that weed itself is not responsible for this, but I'm still too scared to smoke it -.- I'd really like to, though =(

  • @AnonymeAnimal same happened with me when i first started man, if you stay afraid you'l never see the nicer side of it...what you have to do is this before you smoke again to ensure a nice a high...

    1. make sure you ate decently before

    2. dont be in a stressful situation such as having to stay quite or hide from someone while smoking cos you'l get very paranoid

    3. you shouldnt be feeling sick like, and having stomach aches cos it might magnify the feeling a bit

    4. smoke slowly,take ur time.

  • @sarsour1989 and plus space cakes hit hard...specially for a first timer or beginner...

  • @sarsour1989 yeah and especially if ur as stupid as me and dont know that it takes about twenty minutes frot them to hit u and then u take more n more xD

  • @AnonymeAnimal hahahahah! no wonder dude....

  • @sarsour1989 space cakes blow my head off

  • @sarsour1989 disagree with number 1 - Make sure there is plent of room for a good munch when the stone kicks in !

  • @DuggyJ027 lol, even if i ate a shit load before i smoked...ill end up eating twice as much on munchies...

  • @AnonymeAnimal and then , it becomes regular and you can smoke in any situation when your used to it...

  • @AnonymeAnimal pusssy

  • @swanepoel101 says one who's never had panic attacks.. i guess u've never even had an overdose

  • @AnonymeAnimal do you know how much weed you need to smoke to overdose? its almost physically impossible to overdose on cannabis!

  • @swanepoel101 I didn't smoke it, i ATE it

  • @AnonymeAnimal your telling me you ate over a kilo of weed?

  • @swanepoel101 that's probably how much it takes to kill u. there r different kinds of weed, some strong some weak and some even have other kinds of drugs in 'em. i ate alot of old cookies with big pieces of weed in em and i have no idea where they came from

  • @swanepoel101 you cant overdose on the stuff it something like your body wieght or something daft. And you would definetly be 2 busy spewing to smoke anymore in the process

  • @AnonymeAnimal i am god when it comes to weed my friend , best advice i can give you is - next time you smoke it and start to panic about something or get paranoid , take a deep breath , remember that you are high and it is more than normal to feel this way and that really eberything is fine :) put on some music and order a pizza!

  • @DuggyJ027 thx =) I actually think my psychosis is finally gone (after almost a year of panic attacks) and I'm ready to do drugs ;P gotta start with weed but I'm also excited to try shrooms n stuff...

  • @AnonymeAnimal really bro, weed is all you'll ever want believe me...its pleasure perfect!...sure , shrooms are cool to try once in a while, but don't see it as a race or level to achieve whilst trying different stuff...once your a true stoner ,you'll see weed is the beautifully the best choice...

  • @AnonymeAnimal Uhhhh probably not a good idea. You're going to relapse if you abuse weed and for sure if you try shrooms.

  • @AnonymeAnimal do this man try one hit then gradually increase my friend

  • Legalize marijuana, and the entire black market crumbles because no money can be made off of it anymore (everybody would just grow their own). The government is just stupid. Isn't it great how they kill thousands of trees to make paper when they could just as easily use hemp to make it? Fight the power!

  • Excessive marijuana use causes chromosone damage

  • @MisterMatthewRoberts lmao....

  • WEEEEEDDDDD ISS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDDD XD

  • cannabis also exudes terpenoids, which are responsible for the distinct aromas of many strains. Check out the iSTRAINGUIDE on iPHONE for more about terpenoids, and how they can help you match a strain to your symptom!

  • Every natural psychoactive drug is here in this planet to makes us more spiritual, and live in symbiosis with nature and all beings, people are just fed with fake negative information and they believe it, it's sad. When you smoke it's like your head opens up and you think deeper, and opens up another side of you. Suddenly you realize that you are surrounded by lies everywhere and you get a different scope of reality. I liked your insight keep it up redliterocket4. :)
