  • I'm as real as it gets. Let's see you pay $1400 per month for home dialysis alone, plus buy insulin, diuretics, blood pressure meds, etc...all while paying a mortgage, utilities, car insurance and raising a young son. We didn't blow our money.

  • I beg your pardon, Amntng, but my wife and I didn't have health insurance because we were self-employed and could not afford it. She had type 2 diabetes. We worked hard running an electronics repair shop. Our money went to doctors, hospitals and buying meds for complcations from the diabetes. We did manage to pay off our mortgate, the same month she died. So, piss off you pompous bastard.

    Wow, where to begin... 1) it's 50 MILLION, not a few. 2) They can't afford it because most people are poor right now. 3) I support public health care because it works and is far more humane than the system you've got now.

  • As an unbiased person who does not reside in the alleged " greatest nation in the world " , I have a few questions that may also act as statements. Why do most republicans sound absolutely retarded? Republicans claim that under universal healthcare 1 in 5 people die while waiting in lines to get care...... I can confidently say that this is absolutely not true. How it works is, there are emergency centers where people can get immediate care, and health centers where you may have to wait an hour.

  • I am a Republican who supports health care reform. Actually like the idea of a government option. Live in Florida and know and talk to many people all over the world who tell me the same thing about their health care as you have. The loonies make the most noise and get the most attention. And there are Democratic loons as well. Don't support all of the progressive issues but this one I do. This idea makes a great deal of sense.
