  • But to get rid of the layer of fat you are going to need to do aerobic excersise....your just building the ab muscle but in order to get six pack abs your going to need to have a balanced diet, aerobic excersise as well. Doing that excersise by itself won't give you a six pack. In fact, in some cases it can make your belly worse by building your abs it's not going to take care of the layer of fat that has been accumulating. Not hating just being real..

  • @MrCaserboy12 it would never make the belly worse and abs cannot be grown that much.You could easily get a 6 pack by just lifting and diet and zero traditional cardio.

  • 'Slow and controlled' doesn't build contractile protein. Fast and explosive does.

  • I don't see why people have to work on abs anyway. I thought the ab muscles were already there underneath all the fat. I can feel my ab muscles even though I can't see them. I just need to know what foods to eat in order to get a 6 pack.

  • @Boogers4dinner - Quite true, however your abs are never goin to be strong or defined if you don't work on them, the foods you want to eat would be lots of protein and good fats, the monos', limit your carbs and sugar intake, I've managed to get a good six pack, but it's a combination of both, your regime and your diet.

  • @Boogers4dinner the abs will be there and might look good with the fat gone but the only reason to really work them is to build core strength and spine stabilization. they are muscles so they build and break down like muscles. when your fat and cant see them there is no reason to work them because there is fat. when your skinny and cant see abs you have to use resistance ab movements and increase calorie intake to build up the abs because they are muscles like any other muscle.

  • so when you see videos like this telling you to work the abs for looks its pointless because unless your using resistance on your abs they will get stronger but wont get bigger. only more enduranced. if you can doo 100 crunches today and 600 in 3 months your abs wont be better looking just more enduranced. does nothing for looks.

  • @TheBlizzboy101 in order to build muscle u have to stimulate growth just like anything else. if your doing biceps curls you either do more reps with a weight, increase the weight, or decrease the rest periods. abs are a muscle just like anything else but they get used in almost every movement so they have a lot of endurance. trick to building up abs is to used weighted movements like hanging leg raises or decline situps. never do weighted obliques bc it will make you wider and nobody wants that

  • @davidpenwell1987 not true about obliques,the stomach muscles have very little capacity for growth due to their small diameter,they are sheaths of muscle ,not like the arm and leg muscles.Build them as much as you can theyll always make you look better.You cant judge by modern bodybuilders full of every steroid and growth hormone known to man,nautural lifters never look like that.
