Another place I like a lot is the statement of Prophet Yusuf , upon him be peace ,
"Wama Ubarreeu nafsi..." 12:53 "Nor do I absolve my own self (of blame): the (human) soul is certainly prone to evil, unless my Lord do bestow His Mercy: but surely my Lord is Oft- forgiving, Most Merciful."
If this is a statement from a Prophet of Allah, then truly we common humans should always seek Allah for protection from committing sin !!

How Prophet Yusuf's father knew for sure that Yusuf, peace be upon him was alive in spite of his other sons bringing SURE PROOF of his death, is amazing.
this was because Yusuf, on whom be peace informed him earlier about his dream of prostration of sun,moon and stars to him.
So how difficult it must have been for him to keep patience when he was away, not knowing in what conditions his son was LIVING .
Truly Allah tested the patience of Prophet Yaqoob a lot !!

The story of Prophet yusuf has been called as best of stories by Allah in this very chapter and truly it is BESt of stories.
There is a lot we muslims can learn about life if we read this chapter with sincerity and understanding.
