  • wow that is one awesome video

  • @ 6:48 the guy is like, haha....... (please spare my life)

  • This is not to see who plays faster, but to see who manages to convey a message through music.

  • Malmsteen eat your heart out...

  • This guy is a git. I hate him for being so good. >_<

But then I worship him. Wtf?

  • ''So, you might be starting...'' - No john...Only you might...but not us...

  • I absolutely love John Petrucci's style..a firm grasp on theory along with dedication and lots of practice is what makes him one of the greatest rock guitar players of all time!

  • what tuning is he playing in

  • Anyone can help me in finding tabs, please?

  • 2B is so sick...

  • huh, this is the same exact room paul gilbert taught his shred lessons in! :D

  • I'm not a big fan of Johns overall playing, but i got to admit he's a really great and methodic teacher!

  • The long lost brother of chuck norris (H)

  • Single Hair from Petrucci's left eyebrow > 100 Chuck Norris's

  • ARNOLD PETRUCCI

  • wtf? before watching this vid i was screwing around with the first 4 notes he playes in fig 1b O_o co in ci den ce

  • is that even relevant to my comment ?

  • fig.1c

    is just awesome!

  • the first lesson reminds me the beginning of trial of tears solo

  • i buy this guitare it's wow perfect for control but she still best only with John Petrucci ah this world of guitar thx Petrucci for all lesson by u full respect

  • @GuitareHerO04 dude, if you buy a petrucci guitar doesnt mean you get his sound.. sound is a very complicated thing, but this is a really good guitar and enjoy it with your sound not another man

  • those three octaves remind me of the echo song

  • The cameraman passed out @ 7:30

  • @henkki92

The cameraman didn't pass out, he died from an overload of sheer awesomeness and JP's guitar trapped his soul.

  • We truly have been blessed by Jesus himself!

  • It's a classical guitar position...

  • @TheGarageUnderground It's much more comfortable for me personally. It just feels natural, and it translates well to standing up. I can't play on my right leg anymore.

  • Does anybody notice how he puts his guitar on his left leg? I don't really see anybody doing that.

  • Michael romeo does that. I used to do that, it's how classical guitarrists play.

  • Comment removed

  • Look for Jani Liimatainen, he put his guitar on his left leg too!

  • It's a good position for practicing because it allows you to keep your hand in a straight line to your arm It's easier on your tendons. Ever notice how some really technical or jazz guitarists wear their guitars really high? It's the same idea.

  • try it I've been doing it for about 6 years. makes playing much easier. Only thing is now when i stand up i can't play nearly as good

  • thats why we he plays live he puts his left leg up on the monitor or since they dont use monitors, he has a stand for his foot

  • damn, this has helped my playing so much. This is exactly what I have been looking for

  • he should have just kept the beard like it was here lol

  • mmm if you want to shred like him....take note of this one.......nice :)

  • Thank you for uploading this clip again!

  • You're welcome

  • @andurin90 can help finding tabs, please?

  • @metallone666 Sorry, but there aren't any. The camera is really close to the neck, so you can just stop the video, and find the position counting the freds or finding the position by ear. John is talking much about the positions so it isn't so hard. Good luck!

  • First Comment Woot !! JP You Are The Best !!!
