I go to almanor every year in the late fall with some friends who are awesome fishermen and we kill em every year 80 percent we release great times at almanor
I love the videos and beautiful fish. Where exactly on the lake were you catching those beautiful browns? It looked like you were trolling a sep's dodger and a threaded crawler. Were you using a downrigger? if so how deep? I live about 75 miles from lake almanor and I would to get in on some of that great fishing action
@ravmox Good eye, yes, I like to troll a gold or 50/50 gold/silver Seps Dodgers with a threaded nightcrawler. We were using downriggers 25-30 down. My best advice is to google Doug "Almanor King" Neal and read his excellent fishing reports that he publishes weekly.
I love the video, Almanor is one of my favorite lakes. Those browns are some serious footballs. The good old Sling Blade and worm combo really kicks ass up there.
Yeah the waterproof case is a lot of fun, especially with decent water clarity. ;)
Most of these fish are big, beautiful Brown Trout, but there are some Rainbows too, also a Catfish at 1:54, a Smallmouth Bass at 2:31, and landlocked King Salmon at 1:00 and 2:35. Lake Almanor is a smorgasbord of fish species. I have a friend who thinks it is too far from the Bay Area. Only somebody who has never fished there could think that.
Dude awesome i am going to hopefully get some of these vids with my gopro camera this summer. Its a truly beautiful place.

How much are waterproof/underwater cameras, and how do you broadcast them on a different screen?

Hi Jesse nice video and fish.
What kind of fish is that ?
I like the Dicapac case it really make a
fishing video alot more closer to the water right.
