You all have to understand that the storyline to the Mortal Kombat series is pretty much like a comic book. There are plot holes, inconsistencies, retcons, and most importantly, the majority of the characters' endings are non-canon.

@Kiutu Well techincally the cannon Armageddon ending is Shao Kahn's(sorta) as the new game starts at the end of Armageddon with Shao Kahn defeating Blaze on top of the Pyramid and using his power to merge all the realms into one Raiden tries one last attempt to stop him but is beaten, weaken and losing his god-status with Earthrealm now apart of outworld he sends visions of events to himself in the past at the MK1 tournament and thus hitting the history eraser button.
