For starters, the difference is that McCain called for an across the board spending freeze for the Federal government, while Obama calls for a lot of programs that cost money (e.g. the education credit requires students to 'work it off' in community service - which used to be a sentence for criminals btw - which will require overseers etc.), so his plans are more affected by the crisis and thus the question is more relevant to the BO-platform. I understand he avoids answering it like the plague.

Higher taxes for families? If you make less than $250,000 a year, Obama will give you a $1,000 tax break.
McCain will raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000 a year. But then again, if he considers someone who makes $5 million a year rich, then he probably thinks that 80% of America makes a nice middle class income of $250,000 a year.

Mr. McCain, you voted for NAFTA and CAFTA. Those two votes have caused more hardships on America's working families than any obscure Obama tax vote. I guess if families are out of jobs then they are not paying income tax. Is that why you voted for the FTAs that only help the super-rich?

As Senator McCain abandoned American POWs trapped in Indochina; as President he'll abandon you.
McCain disregarded intelligence that POWs and MIAs were still alive and calling for help in Vietnam--and became personally abusive to POW/MIA advocates.
Don't reward him by making him commander-in-chief.

I'll tell you what is "Painful," is watching John McCain, a man that I used to greatly admire, go back on his greatest promise made during the primaries of holding an "honorable campaign." Obama is and has been trying to do that, but McCain has let the GOP brainwash him and I cannot blame Obama now for coming at him with both fists. I am so disappointed in McCain, I thought he would be different, but he's just another politician who will say anything to win.

hahahahahaha He must be addressing the 10% percent of the nation that Obama is going to raise taxes on, because the REST of us (the other 90%) will get a tax CUT from Obama!! If you earn under 250,000 a year YOUR INCOME TAX WILL NOT GO UP and you will in fact get more money back!! Obama wants to strengthen the middle class! Nearly all small businesses would receive also receive a tax cut! McCain has nothing and he knows it!! What he doesn't know is how many homes HE owns!! OUT OF TOUCH!!

Well, you know, if he did re-initiate the draft you would sure see people getting angry and trying to end these wars a lot sooner. Even though I hate to see it come to that, it may just be the wake up call that America needs to get out and start loudly voicing their opposition.

John McCain is the luckiest presidential candidate because he is facing the most radical, inexperienced Democrat possible. If McCain does lose, it's because he screwed up. He didn't listen to the conservatives and the conservatives are still alive and powerful out there in the Republican party.
