@bearpaw72 Yeah, that was the initial idea of Columbus' plan. He didn't know he had discovered America. He thought he had made it to China or Japan.

You might want to mention that Columbus only came across the Americas because he calculated the earth's circumference so badly (Far worse than other people of that time) and that when he came back to Queen Elizabeth, regarding the inhabitants he said they could all be made slaves.

@muppetfan33 That may be likely, and that the quality of the master may have detoriated over time. But if that were the case, then the whole segment would've had a more sepia tone look to it too!

Frank Oz. He was the original muppeteer of Cookie Monster, Grover, Bert, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal and many others. Many of those characters often didn't didn't get along with Jim Henson's characters, Kermit and Ernie.
