If you walk, jog and run at a treadmill, you can just stop and walk your ass to the car and go drive home. But if you walk 10 miles away from home. You have to walk your ass back 10 miles. HAHA. when i don't go to the gym, I do a 30 min high intensity interval training at home. It requires very little equipment...only a mat for the sit ups. Check out Sarahsfabchannel, she has a lot of nice interval trainings. ;)
I bought an 8 pound medicine ball and I do different workouts with it. The ball comes with workouts also if you know know what to do. It's even fun throwing it back and forth with someone.

Trampoline is the best and you may not believe this, but just sitting on a swing and swinging really high in my garden for like 20-30 mins really helps

HOW can I stay motivated to run at my local park when there's usually ugly men starring at me and hollering for attention??? I live in the inner city, the "ghetto" and usually I'll encounter dirty uneducated guys or old men that ogle any woman even those conservatively dressed like myself. I'm shapely, but I'm no model. I like to run outdoors, but having to adjust my lifestyle (like wear incredibly baggy clothing) really discourages me from running comfortably in public. It's annoying :/
Dancing is great cardio. It's what I do. I dance to Judas(I know, lame) hahaha. The entire song. I use the performance when Lady Gaga was on Ellen. :D 4-5 times is what I usually do. Good luck with the battle of the bulge!!
Keep doin' what you're doin', girl! Every little movement counts! I managed to lose 40 lbs. by doing a home workout program called TURBO FIRE. I freakin' love that workout!! The gym isn't really my thing...I like to workout in the comfort of my home and not have to worry about other people watching me what I do.

Back when I was overweight I use to watch tv and during the commercials do as many lunges/sit ups/jumping jacks as I can before the commercial break is over. Also drank 2L of water during that time period. And I would do this while watching about 2 hours worth of TV.
There's a 'boot camp' I go to. It's called Kazaxe and Asuka from the Zumba videos is the instructor. Maaaaaan does she kick my ass every time!! It's a lot of fun!

I've lost 20 pounds in 2 months (started around November) by not drinking anything but water and two glasses of milk a day :D (no soda, no juice, no nothing but water and milk) but you gotta drink A LOT of water! :D It's tough (hell yeah it is!) but the results are truly wonderful! Whatever you do Gloria, you will own that shit! Whenever you bump into a setback or a challenge remember you are freaking awesome and we all love you and are rooting for you ;) you are beautiful Gloria you truly are!

I got a yoga DVD. I put it on mute, turn on loud fun music and then keep up with the guy. Its fun doing a downward dog hearing The Bad Touch by the Bloodhound gang. You keep up doing what you are doing because you look so good! And I am proud of you <3 oxo

I am very inspired by your story on getting healthy. I'm doing the same myself, or rather attempting to. I have an exercise bike an a trampoline. They live in my storage though! My fieaunce won't get them till my liver health gets better.
Since my family is like Rapunzel's mom and wants to keep me locked in the house instead of interacting with the world and walk around my neighborhood in fear I might get kidnapped and sent to some brothel, my only alternative is to use my household stairs. I basically run up and down them for 40 minutes, or I use the wii or the kinect to help me get in shape. Also, every morning, I make myself a cup of green tea, which after drinking it for 2 months now, I've become a bit addicted. XD
Iv been slacking.. but i have a 2 year old sister and she has a lot of energy! I took her swimming today, and when we're at home (i watch her during the day) we run around and play games and stuff. Its good cardio. I also get a good workout chasing her around when she tries to steal my make up!

for workouts I watch various music videos and copy parts of the choreography and then I play some really upbeat music and improvise a routine from the different choreographs for about 30 minutes to an hour. just a thought

if you don't feel like working out or going for a ROCK haha... if you have a wii and the just dance games than do that i do that when i'm not in the mood for working out or jogging i like to play just dance it's a good work out for me
you can do it. progress not perfection. i sometimes dance to the on demand music videos or the fuse channel just to switch it up. for one the music energizes me and seeing people who are fit is a motivator. we can do it!
I tried on my favorite old jeans last night and they actually FIT. Actually seeing/feeling the difference after losing weight is such a good feeling.
As for exercise, my go-to when I'm too lazy to go to the gym is to take my dog for a "rock" or to the park. I also ride my bike, do wii fit, clean (it's actually pretty decent exercise sometimes) or I just put on music and dance like a freak in my room for a while. The gym gets old so fast.
GLOPINKSTAH you are amazing && can do anything!! We all believe in you :] Gyms get super boring but i leave near the Snake River && i find that i always like going down in the canyon and walkin along the river. its very relaxing and it usually involves climbing shit & stuff so it really gives a workout without feeling like it i guess.

what i do:drink a gallon of water a day (i chug water so its easy)
breakfast: cup of raw oatmeal and lowfat yogurt
lunch:chicken and vegetables steamed
"dinner" : just another cup of raw oatmeal mixed with the yogurt and i add some grapes to it.
i am, 6'2.5 and dont feel TOO comfortable saying my weight but u can ask me.
started this "diet" january 1 & with a multivitamin everyday & excersizing an hour on cardio machine iv lost 10 pounds.

I'm glad I have a dog, because when I get tired of going to the gym or doing work out videos and don't really want to work real hard, I can take my dog for a walk. It makes me feel good because I'm doing some exercise for myself and for my dog!

Back when I was overweight I use to watch tv and during the commercials do as many lunges/sit ups/jumping jacks as I can before the commercial break is over. Also drank 2L of water during that time period. And I would do this while watching about 2 hours worth of TV.

There's a 'boot camp' I go to. It's called Kazaxe and Asuka from the Zumba videos is the instructor. Maaaaaan does she kick my ass every time!! It's a lot of fun!

I've lost 20 pounds in 2 months (started around November) by not drinking anything but water and two glasses of milk a day :D (no soda, no juice, no nothing but water and milk) but you gotta drink A LOT of water! :D It's tough (hell yeah it is!) but the results are truly wonderful! Whatever you do Gloria, you will own that shit! Whenever you bump into a setback or a challenge remember you are freaking awesome and we all love you and are rooting for you ;) you are beautiful Gloria you truly are!

I got a yoga DVD. I put it on mute, turn on loud fun music and then keep up with the guy. Its fun doing a downward dog hearing The Bad Touch by the Bloodhound gang. You keep up doing what you are doing because you look so good! And I am proud of you <3 oxo

I'm so freakin skinny that I look like an anorexic, literally. I've made a new years resolution to do push ups every day before going to bed. And also, I swim once a week on P.E. If you have the right attitude, you'll actually miss going to gym/doing something with your body if you stop doing it. It makes you feel better, doesn't it?. Keep it up.

Since my family is like Rapunzel's mom and wants to keep me locked in the house instead of interacting with the world and walk around my neighborhood in fear I might get kidnapped and sent to some brothel, my only alternative is to use my household stairs. I basically run up and down them for 40 minutes, or I use the wii or the kinect to help me get in shape. Also, every morning, I make myself a cup of green tea, which after drinking it for 2 months now, I've become a bit addicted. XD

Iv been slacking.. but i have a 2 year old sister and she has a lot of energy! I took her swimming today, and when we're at home (i watch her during the day) we run around and play games and stuff. Its good cardio. I also get a good workout chasing her around when she tries to steal my make up!

Very beautiful and inspirational! I'm on the road to lose weight this year and so far it's going good! I've been doing yoga inspired exercising and trying to get out walking more. Although I do need to do something else along with the other stuff I do! I went from not thinking I could do anything to losing 33lbs, so keep at it hun! You already look amazing! <3

for workouts I watch various music videos and copy parts of the choreography and then I play some really upbeat music and improvise a routine from the different choreographs for about 30 minutes to an hour. just a thought

Good job Gloria!!! I'm so glad you're doing a whole lot better, keep it up! Oh instead of going to the gym I like to walk my dog or go biking. But if I'm too lazy to leave the house I'll do some yoga, not only does it help you lose weight but it helps you become a lot more flexible and it's pretty relaxing.

I'm doing weight loss for my 2012 resolution, or at least trying to motivate myself to. I'm in the chunky-and-weighing-almost-100-more-pounds-than-you-need-to-be category.
I bought an exercise bike last year and haven't even used it more than twice and refuse to go to the gym simply because I don't want to be one of those people who comes in, exercises for 10 minutes then leaves out of breath. The walk of shame!

you can do it. progress not perfection. i sometimes dance to the on demand music videos or the fuse channel just to switch it up. for one the music energizes me and seeing people who are fit is a motivator. we can do it!

I tried on my favorite old jeans last night and they actually FIT. Actually seeing/feeling the difference after losing weight is such a good feeling.
As for exercise, my go-to when I'm too lazy to go to the gym is to take my dog for a "rock" or to the park. I also ride my bike, do wii fit, clean (it's actually pretty decent exercise sometimes) or I just put on music and dance like a freak in my room for a while. The gym gets old so fast.

GLOPINKSTAH you are amazing && can do anything!! We all believe in you :] Gyms get super boring but i leave near the Snake River && i find that i always like going down in the canyon and walkin along the river. its very relaxing and it usually involves climbing shit & stuff so it really gives a workout without feeling like it i guess.
Anyway keep up the good work!!!!
