  • Because of La Nina and high pressure in Siberia, it is so cold in the world this year...Stop global warming!

  • you would think, with weather that cold, that people would cover up every part of their body, and wear special glasses over their eyes

  • So the temperature is much lower than -10 in the ground even in traffic?

  • that's not cold enough for me

  • In here is now -12 my coldest i've felt was -49 in 1999

  • -3 C° here

  • OMG

  • -46C is the coldest I've felt. Dec 13 2009

  • greetings from athens! we have +8C and we feel so cold :P

  • The coldest I have experienced is - 31 degrees Celsius.

  • i saw a snowman!

  • Looks like a movie to me.

  • I'm trying to think of a time when I was the coldest I've ever felt, and then multiplying it by 100 just to see what it's like for these people.

  • and that is y i live in the usa

  • nice place for having a barbecue. and where's the golf course?

  • im not being funny but the amount of money that russia have, i know you cant see any homeless people here, but if there were to be the russian/siberian government must have a large place for them to go, thats inhumane and even for animals its harsh weather just saying

  • i wonder how cars even start when its that cold

  • @Pizzaman882 saw that on tv, during winter, they either use block heaters or just never turn them off when parked outside. no engine could start from cold in these conditions.

  • is every day of the winter in Yakutsk like this one in the video?...I mean..there are no clouds, right?..in all of your videos I see just frost and no sun at all... do you have to wait for the sun until summer?:))

  • I can't believe the population of this city is so big! how can people survive at -35 C during an average winter day??

  • @Phil7Alex Winter is -35 C, but in summer +35C, it is called harsh continental climate, tipical for Central Asia, with cold winters and warm summers.

  • @Phil7Alex you learn how to dress warmly and buy special clothing

  • They say that Gulf Stream has changed its current and Europe will freeze soon. Mwa-ha-ha!!! Feel the power of Russian Winter! Cental heating rulezzzz!

  • looks like a giant freezer...

  • I love deep minus! Strange but weird experience!

  • How do the engines even run in the cold temps

  • Wait, this was in the morning? I could swear this was at the end of the day :o

  • its not really cold there ive been there they are just exagerrating the weather

  • @carlynicegirl28 What do you mean by "exaggerating"? -40 or even -50 for you is not so cold? Or may be you think that all thermometers there are falsified?

  • cont: Seat is hard even its made foam and textile and *really* cold. Cabin heater doesn't warm too much and windshield is mostly in ice. Side windows are absolutely unviewable if t here is more than driver alone... Maybe gasoline has some water when you fuel and it freeze in tank or fuel pipe... ah, there is so more problems there. But one good thing there it is: in really cold, its not slippery anymore.

  • @kukkahattu2010 In Yakutsk people glue second glass on windows on a piece of foam rubber, so they become like windows in houses, with frame :)

  • Coldest I have drive by a car was -42C (in Finland). In that cold you need electric heater in motor to warm it up to start it easily. But in that cold coolant can freeze (like mine Opel does then, that freezer was only -39C). Steering is really heavy, use must use force to turn left or right. Tires are not round anymore, they have one flat side and when you drive its like pumppumpump...pupupupupupu until they warm somewhat and soften enoug to become round again. (part 1)

  • @OldTimerGuy58 Lol...i really feel stupid now. I should read the description boxes more often. Thanks for pointing it out. (Oh, and no offence taken) :)

  • Truely, here I am sitting here at my computer, my room is 72° F., and I started feeling cold, while watching this video! Talk about mind over matter. Anyhow, I would like to know how they can keep their engines from locking up, water lines thawed, how deep they bury them, how much insulation in their houses, fuel costs, etc!! This is fascinating to me to say the least!! How can I get more info?? I do admire these people for braving this place!!

  • @OldTimerGuy58 Never heard about a life in siberian cities and towns? Never knew how to survive extreme low temperatures? You could be American.....

  • @termogard Well, yea, I am American. I would like to experience this place for no more than a coupla days. I admire them for being able to endure this! I would have to place hand warmers on every inch of my body.

  • no sun for 10 months a year

  • I'd like to know what student exchange from let's say Kenya would make of this city in those conditions.

  • if you want to feel the atmosphere u have to forget your balls. you cant feel both of them at the same time:D choose one!

  • Am I right in saying that it is night time in the video?

  • @afnankhokhar Yea, it is really night time in the video. They lied in the description where they said it was "morning"!!!! Please dont get mad, for I am just teasing you. :-)

  • that's just the winter, in summer is hot there

  • i'd die to go visit there im from Peru and believe me .. the lowest here in Lima ( the capital ) is maybe 7 or 8 dgrees. no less. and the lowest in the country maybe -15 and with that one , poor people die

  • lol people look like ghosts xD

  • great fuckin place

  • People there use fridges to warm up themselves.

  • quiero vivir en esta ciudad!!

  • Amazing how wide the sidewalks are. They are huge compared to how they are in the states.

  • THERES OSAMA

  • i spy with my little eyes: Eskimos and cold city

  • - 30 is the lowest I can stand out with

  • Yakutia doesn't Siberia

Yakutia situated in Far East of Russia

    I know, because I'm Yakutian boy :D

  • In my town, people don't go outside when its under 55 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • @Sillygreenmen where r u from?

  • @kmalobe1 Florida

  • look at all the masochists !! <3russia<3

  • @zaniellify, Shame on you for furthering the perception that the USA is a nation of racist idiots. Russia should be thought of as a nation full of brothers and sisters and likewise, The other way around.

@AmericansMakeMeSick, Clearly. You need to feel the same agony and pain that the victims of that attack felt. Hopefully you take the path of learning to love your fellow man or run your neck through the tip of a sword. Either way, The world is a better place because of it.

  • how many daylight hours ?

  • siberia belongs to asians.

  • @MrSlla222 Russia is mostly Asian, stupid.

  • @RussianWilderness you insult me by calling me stupid. and your wrong. check out the demographics of what russia gives. k thanks.

  • @MrSlla222 Sorry, I was in a bad moon when I wrote that, and I regretted it when I reread it. I still don't know what your point is in your first comment? (:

  • Comment removed

  • @MrSlla222

    fk you bitch

  • @MrSlla222 shut your stupid chinky trap

  • @zaniellify Another rednecking american. Die pig face. Viva 9/11!

  • @MrSlla222 what is asians? Asia is a part on Eurasian continent. So your comment should be like - "Congo belongs to africans". Yes, belongs, and what's so ever? Siberia belongs to legendary courage and bravery of those who developed Siberia. For those legends those paths lead Siberia to that meaning Siberia has now! Those people are special.

  • I bet all the CPUs there are overclocked

  • @iRouRoui hahahaa I thought the same xD

  • @iRouRoui hhaahahahahahahahaaha

  • @iRouRoui hahahha ur right :)))

  • How the fuck do cars operate in that.

  • @RussianWilderness they never shut down the engeine because the fuel would freeze

  • @RussianWilderness russian cars can only operate in these conditions, not ford, honda or other "great 21.century" cars. By the way, when nazis invaded Russia in WW2, their tanks stopped and they loosed all tank battles there.

  • where r the canadians telling us it is colder where they live? haha they do that on every coldest winter page i have visited lol

  • Yakutsk the coldest? What about Norylsk, Tiksi, Verchojansk.

  • @somnabulik1 If measure in temperature Yakutsk is much colder than Tiksi (which is not a city, btw) and a bit colder than Norilsk. Of course in total in Norilsk and Tiksi life is more extreme because of strong cold wings but pure temperature in Yakutsk is lower. Verhoyansk is a bit colder (it's not very far from Oymyakon which is a pole of cold in Northern hemisphere) but it's just not so big, just over 1200 people, generally speaking it's not even city.

  • @mykola82

Indeed. Norilsk nad Tiksi have milder climate because of nearby arctic sea. Yakutsk nad Vierhojansk have continental climate - colder winter but warmer summer.

p.s. In Norilsk and Tiksi arctic day nad night is longer than Yak... or Vier...

  • I love cold weather. The colder it gets the more power I get

  • do they have fridge in their homes .

  • @telorinodelhoyoo

Yes, they sit in the fridge to keep warm.

  • I live in the most hottest Caribbean country!!

    the sun.... just cant sleep!

  • Can't image to life there !

  • Nothing but love for my ancestors, Sakhas!

  • This city looks a lot of fun to freeze your ass off!!

  • it looks represing

  • wow

  • Wow, looks like Yellowknife, Canada.

  • wonder how long it takes to heat up their cars

  • I use to live right next to this city called Tynda, Amurskaya region. My home town.. freezing cold weather, but I loved every moment of it.

  • my ass froze just by watchingthis.

  • I wonder how someday people decided to make a city here!!!!!

  • @Astronomy97 Much of Siberia is rich in natural resources; diamonds, gold, timber, etc. Even still, this place is even colder than your freezer. It's deadly cold there. People who live there for many years are unable to handle a warm climate due to the thickening of blood.

  • @Astronomy97 they were forced to by stalin

  • @Astronomy97 Yakutsk used to be a place of no return for those fighting for the freedom army, Soviet Union. Nowadays we still have many people who currently live in former USSR countries such as Lithuania, for instance, who were born in Yakutsk from parents that were sent to stay there and die.

  • @Astronomy97

An extraordinary abundance of natural resources.

  • @Astronomy97 The city is a very important strong hold. Its surrounded by mountains thousands of meters tall. a fortress millions of acres wide. very hard to get in through foot. a great defense city. and as you know. back then war for territory and women was vast.

  • @Astronomy97 Yakutsk is very rich in resources like gold timber and diamond producing 20% of the worlds cut diamonds that is why there is a city here

  • @Astronomy97 It is a major port on the Lena River and they mine Diamonds there.

  • @Astronomy97 in a communism there is no such thing as a free will, they make people live where they seem fit to keep the country going.

  • @Astronomy97 In soviet russia, city builds you

  • man i would like to be in snow now, hot as fuck where i am

  • brass monkeys eh/ and the uk stops at -1

  • i wish i lived there...would love to visit :)

  • @caligal2010 Chicago has bad enough winters. As far as Yakutska, I wouldnt even want to visti, let along live there.

  • @caligal2010 I thumbed up yer comment, but I wouldnt like to live there. Would love to visit tho!! Just to learn how they keep their cars running, insulation, how they heat their homes, water line insulation, etc.

  • @OldTimerGuy58 Maybe I over exaggerated a little bit, lol. I would love to live there for only a few months maybe. Then come back to Texas for some good old sunshine and heat!!

  • @caligal2010 fucking retard is suicidal

  • I am soooooooooo glad I do not live there

    so depressing

  • @TheThingseyelike this is why god put the best girls there---for have some fun :)

  • @TheThingseyelike How exactly is it depressing?

  • Thank you for sharing this video! Greetings from Oregon, USA. ❤

  • yeeeaaaahhhhhh boy!!!!!!

  • Bolot, this is incredible! It's a real Arctic Ballet, a dance on the ice, on the snow, in the dark! How similar it is to our life in Uummannaq, Greenland.

You are so lucky to be born and live in northern Siberia!

Next December/January - in Yakutsk! CAn't miss it again!

  • @Chaika1961 Yes a great video , but I wouldn't want to live in thoses extremes. I visited Greenland many years ago , Godthaab and Gronnendal, but can't recollect it being that cold. At this particular moment we are minus three/four in the UK and that is enough for me ! Happy days.

  • waw! the cold is amazing
