hi there..the only thing is, I thought it was a bit luminous but it isnt..I was trying to get the glow look but hold the shine in the t zone at the same time:( isnt there such a powder?

I been thinkin about tryin Bare Minerals, I think the Studio FIX MAC is breakin me out I use that along with NARS powder, just got the MUFE HD setting, cus i relly jsut want c lear poweder that wont cake up and absorb oil. I was about to get CoverFX setting powder but they talked me into this one...Anyone have breakouts with MAC??? I usally have clear skin except for my menstrul cycle but latly been breakin out been using MAC for about 5months breakouts in the last 2months, small breakouts

MUFE's HD Microfinish is awesome but too expensive. I tried Sheer Miracle Extreme CloseUp HD Mineral Finishing Powder and loved it. Identical in every way (size, texture, performance) and half the price. I know you can get it on their site and I think at Amazon. Thought your viewers might like to know.

If you do purchase this product, do NOT sniff it! Silica powder has been connected to lung diseases. If you just don't purposely sniff it, it shouldn't be problem.

this is a finishing product so 1st you should begin by using the hd primer, 2nd the hd foundation and then the translucent powder. these are all made by makeup forever. im a sephora junkie and i have tried different types of makeup from walgreens brand to christian dior, but this makeupline is AMAZING!!!! its not too pricey either because it will last you a long time!!!

Thanks for the review, I was wondering about this product. FYI HD powder is just 100% silica, so I find it's pretty high priced considering. Coastal Scents carries silica powder spheres for $4 an ounce (I wonder if it's the same thing?). Just Food for thought. If anyone had sensitivities to silica, silk powder seems to have a similar effect.

I'm more of a fan of the DIOR Photo finish cream to powder. It's better that the MAKE UP FOREVER because it starts of as a cream so you won't get that crustyness.

The sample they gave you is very generous. I bought the full size version and it looks about the same size. Don't be scared by the price.  The product will last a long time and you don't need to use that much. If you use too much you will end up looking chalky. I can maintain my skin oil free for 5 hours with this powder. I'm very pleased.

I can't speak for everyone, but I've never purchased a product specifically because a makeup guru uses it. I have gotten products they use because I think I'll use it and I like it. I think we are all adult enough to make up our own minds about what to buy. They are just offering their opinions on products [often because people request them]. If you don't think you'll like a product, don't get it. Where's the harm in them exposing new brands? No one is twisting your arm.

i got a sample of this awhile back, and i've found it really trial and error. when i use mac's 187/188 duo fiber brush it goes on much nicer than with a basic powder brush. it gives a very air brushed look.

She was great, she is great and she is mine and a bunch of other people's inspiration here on youtube. Thats what the stuff does. If you have a type of a glowy look or shiny look from the foundation, you put that on to give you a matte look.

If it's 100% silica, can't you just order an ounce of silica from coastal scents for $4 instead? The HD powder is being sold for .35 (?) oz ($30) when you can get a full oz from CS for $4... Am I missing something here?

If you want cheap silica powder go to tkbtrading that's where I buy a lot of mineral make-up you can get 1tbsp of mineral pigment or any powder for only 1,50$ so it's really cheap. I actually use a mix of kaolin clay and silica powder as a primer and it works great you should try it.

I love my HD powder as a finishing dust over top of my mineral makeup. I got my sample size (the same one you have) back in April I think? And it is STILL half full from nearly everyday use because you really only need a tiny bit.

i think this is a good product to have on the face on the days that u go out to a party, wedding, dinner etc and your going to take pictures...because the product makes the face matte. i did the mistake of wearing glowy finishing powder and on every picture my whole face was reflecting like a light bulb..hahahaha
