  • Need video to ponder!

All the normal straight ahead power goes through the spider gears. It would have to have much better bearings on the spider gears than a typical automotive diff. Also It needs two non stock differentials.

Probably not worth the expense for a tractor.

  • could this be used for the husqvarna zero turn mowers?

  • Some of the stuff I have seen has a high power hydraulic motor to turn "steering" shaft, and yes it is very high power. It also allows you to turn track type tractors with out power to the drive shaft enabling an almost zero radius turn.

  • Wow, this is way cool. so you have a main shaft from the engine or transmission for forward and revers. However, steering is completed by input to the shaft on top. Where does that power come from for the top shaft. Hydaraulic motor? electric? Im sure it would have to be powerfull. Mainly for aero turn. Another gearbox? It wouldnt be infinate then. please advise.

  • @heatherandpaul2 according to the site, the steering shaft on top could be driven by the engine, so you get different radii for each forward gear but a bit more efficiency.
