Was this video really banned? I was too young to watch MTV in 1982 (I was 3) but I do remember MTV having a block of Van Halen videos in the early 90's and this video was one of the ones they showed. And I've seen it on VH1 Classic many times too.

I remember reading that the reason for the guitar intro was they had wrote the song but it wasnt long enough for the video. So EVH went into the studio and came up with Intruder to make it all mesh together time wise. The Intruder solo was a combo of beer can on the low E., pick scrapes with the whammy bar pressed down and feedback in sync with Al's drums..innovation way back in 1982, those were the days of MTV..
