Hellz yeahz Freestyling is the best way to figure out where everything goes, everybody has their own way of drawing. Mine is messy as shit, but it helps a whole lot to get it out. Also, doodling is my art class. Years and years of doodling...got in a lot of trouble from my teachers...

Art is expression and is not always meant to be perfect, especially when you are just casually doodling or freestyling like this dude was. Give him a break! @Phillakied Morbiddesire is telling it like it is. Begin to draw from life. Final Fantasy, Sonic all of these were from life highly modified. Just remember, Everything is three simple shapes. Triangle, square, circle. They then turn three-dimensional, cone, pyramid, cube, sphere, cylinder. You then begin to put them together like a jigsaw to whatever you want. A car is three cubes (Hood, body, Trunk) sculpted into whatever and shade! Just remember that when drwing from life and you will love it!

As an artist, you will develop the way you draw over time. Some styles maybe heavily stylistic (ex. Jim Lee, Billy Tan, Joe Madureira), Some more realistic (ex. Henry Yun, Fedor Alekseev, Vladimir Borovikovsky, Alex Ross), there are even artist who exclusively draw for advertising and or fasion. Styles are purely opinion. He displays the way to draw...his way.

That's not the point, FREESTYLE is supposed to look like that. If you see abstract art you don't say, ohh look how bad that is, what is that anyways, it's how it's supposed to look, if you want REALISTIC ART then look it up!

still, drawing badly on purpose doesnt help you improve your drawing skills... if you want to improve, you need to head to the top, do your best, not just slack around... telling people on video to draw badly, on video which should be tutorial, it just isnt right.

most of people like me, who are here seeking tips, are still in point of learning their own style, and I honestly dont want some weird, too unrealistic style, I want one which pays my future bills and looks good.

The truth is if someone draws crappy he draws crappy -end of story. You could have an original style but it must come with a difficulty to copy that. i think this guy is just showing how he can deaw a face in the right proportions very quickly (not the easiest thing, does take practice). these are doodles.. they are where ideas are formed. not meant to be masterpieces. i bet if he took the time to build on that drawing he could make it look proffesional. you guys are too quick to judge

Hm . I personally think that to be able to draw ppl you need to study anatomy first and then u can tweak proportions in any way and u will get ur lovely cartoon characters . So before actually freestyle u need to know the basics .

well,, manga is cartooning, last time i checked theres not ONE famous cartonist. What do you think Leonardo Da Vinci, Picasso, or really any painter or ARTIST drew when they were younger? because im sure it wasn't japanese- style people that have horrible proportions and shading. or horses, and ONLY horses. And when i look for "how to draw people" i want to get better, not learn from expert village to make dumb american style manga like Ben-10. Lot of success you'll get there, bud.
