I was just thinking that if it hit her in the head then shouldn't she been sort of dead where she barely is holding on while the last second give birth. Well it was a good scene and very sad, but I was trying to understand if it is possible to still be breathing with a bullet in your brain.

it didn't hit her in the right part of the brain to stop breathing, he would have had to shoot her more in the back to do that...it seems he shot her in the cerebellum, which is involved in thinking and emotion more than vital functions...
