  • I listened to this for four and a half hours last night , non-stop :)

  • Love the game but the subtitles (I am austrian) were too fucking tiny....as well good game

  • Great song from an awesome game! If you get the chance to play it then do so. One of the most gripping and atmospheric cyber-punk-esque games ever made. And coloured beautifully by Bowie's music.

  • Christ the man moves with the tenacity of a chipmunk

  • The song is not called "The Nomad Soul". It's called "Something In The Air". It's from the album "hours" (1999). I love Bowie. Too bad he seems to be retired now. Never played Omikron, and I regret that very much when I see this.

  • @JumpingKentFlash YouTube says it's "The Dreamers".

  • @JumpingKentFlash That song is not from the album hours. It's from the game "The Nomad Soul - Omikron". Then Bowie released "hours".

  • I think im the only person wondering how David Bowie got in a parallel universe in the future, but it doesn't matter, he's there therefore this game is awesome

  • Great song, great game. Made me a huge fan of Quantic Dream. This game was way ahead of it's time.

  • Good and beatiful song. Too bad the audio is kinda crappy

  • the game rocks, i recommend it to anyone fan of good scenario for video games, and fun awsome bonuses, such as earning tapes for playing such animations at will within the game, of david bowie virtual song performance, realy great oldie, ty for postin this video.

  • David Bowie, ladies and gents. He also designed one of the puzzles in the game.

  • only pretty things and the intro song of the nomad soul were fun to hear.. to bad you couldn't check it out a 2nd time... but on all the other songs in the game... what a shame you cant skip m..

  • Wow, what a beautiful song.

  • too bad the times were not technologically "ready" for such an idea as Nomad Soul: It was great...

Quantic Dreams are one of the most daring companies out there and always develop interesting ideas, even if Fahrenheit was not 100% fine and had some issues that could be avoided.

Hope Heavy Rain is the masterpiece they deserve to produce.

  • @Kalyth

    definitely

i feel as if something like this will be timeless in this sweet scented future

  • @Kalyth agreed the idea was solid but the tech couldnt catch it up OR quantic where not really great programmers the Dreamcast was no slauch in terms of power it had some great games that showcased this.

  • i bought this game cuz bowie wuz in it

turned out the game kicked ass

  • The game artists have got bowie captured to a T. the model even has a his trademark bulging crotch Hehe

  • I can't kill the final monster - its impossible, exist any cheats?

  • You need to hit his back to kill him.

  • I loved this game for a while and just recently found a place to download the soundtrack. However since putting windows vista on my I've discovered I'm unable to play it (damn!) and I've only ever got to the warehouse are were you place the bombs and want to at least once complete it!

  • I remember I must find a "flyer" in the game and go to the bar to listen it

  • Right? Who names themselves Bowie, anyway?

Oh, right, one of the best voices in music history that's who.

  • good...very good game but does someone knows how to play the blond haired kayl when yes could u please tell it me then i wanna play him with blond hair

  • This game has been so heavily ignored its on the brink of sad..

  • Anything with David Bowie is automatic win, no matter how glitchy.

  • @Melirune I agree, too bad he didnt appeared on Heavy Rain D:

  • @Melirune thats bowieism

  • This is the best dreamcast game other than shenmue

  • One of the best on PC too! And I would rather have a slightly glitchy game like this that tries something original, as in this video, than the bland 'already done before' games we get now!

  • Actually, I played the dreamcast version when it came out, and i just recently got the PC version.. the PC one is so much more glitchy than the Dreamcast one.

  • Now I don't have to feel so bad on deciding to buy the DC version for my first Omikron experience. Although I DID win it complete for a dollar. Win! Can't wait for it to arrive with Elemental Gimmick gear!

  • was shenmue on pc?

  • shemune was seruios as well....u r rite shemune ranks first

  • @LORDI8694 That's True!!!! 100% Agreee

  • I never had any problems with the gameplay, I thought it was a really well laid out plot too. If you got caught at any part of the game you could look up walkthrus. Of course it's going to be dark as it's depicting gov't corruption and oppression in another dimension's future. Though I think it's uplifting how the underground groups are fighting for freedom. The cities designed were lush and intricate, though Bowie's involvement sure did add a certain something.

  • not the best of david bowie

  • i remember i thought this game used to have killer graphics...lol...how technology changes

  • i had this for the pc and gave it to my mate cause i got stuck and never heard bowie sing in the game now i wish i had persevered but he still has nomad soul game but i have the monty python meaning of life game for pc very hard to get now ha ha

  • I couldnt get to the end of it does any body has the video from the final part???

  • david bowie doesn't suck balls

too bad not very good sound quality

  • You probably know this by now, but that's an effect used on his voice in the song, not an issue with the sound quality of the video.

  • nice !!better than the starwars tavern concert on tataouine!

  • yeah in that game was 2 concert to find:0 ...great game, my flavours:D

  • Wasnt It three?

I remember one in that club In Qualisar, Another underground In Jaunpur.. Then one In A Factory In Lahoreh.. I Could be wrong tho..

    havnt played it in years..

  • you got right i dont know why i say 2

  • awesome!! the cool thing about bowie is you can have been into him for years and years, and you'll find a song you havent' heard that just blows you away and becomes your new fave. still trying to find a "It's No Game" video.

  • One of the best video-game of history. So beautifull, so original, so powerfull...

I hope I could buy it (but, I didn't find the game two month ago.).

  • I tried to reinstall it recently... modern graphics cards can't play it for some reason. And no one knows how to fix it to make it work.

  • Try to re-install old driver for your graphic board.

I think it will run. Or try to run the game in Win 9x compatibility (not really a reason to not working, but you can try that ^^).

    Good luck !*

"New Angels Of Promiseeeeeeeee ! " oh yeah !

  • Well, going back a few years with the drivers will assure that (maybe) it will work, but then the other 10 games I have installed on my system will refuse to run optimally. I don't think I'm willing to compromise for an old game such as Omikron.

I'll just wait for the new one to come out, I guess.

  • Youll have to go out on a whim for it but, get a dreamcast emulator (theyre free for download) then get the torrent for the dreamcast version, problem solved

  • You could easily do what I did, which was go to isohunt(dot)com and run a search for Omikron The Nomad Soul downloads. The game came out on PC about a year before Dreamcast so you don't need an emulator.

  • I know how. If it crashes, you have to rename the intro movies EIDOS, INTRO, and QUANTICDREAM in the FLIS folder. Best bet is to rip the contents, create a new iso, modify the contents of that folder, then play.

The only things that are screwed up on my end is the sneak (runs slow) and the fighting (the sounds are way off sync).

  • I have this game for the dreamcast, it is kind of hard though.

  • wow..

i'm getting this game on bowie factor alone

    righteousness

  • A one of a kind game never to be repeated, RPG meets Sci fi with a real life soundtrack writen by real life legendary musician David Bowie, who also voices Boz the 'Ghost in the Machine' leader of the Awakened.

I remember the intro as you unlock each new sprawling city, lahorah was fantastic.

    The sequel is coming soon.

  • I like it.

  • heheh i also remember playing the game and listening to this song.. the guys face looks like bowies which is cool

  • This song is cool and right now i feel chilled listening to it. LOVE BOWIE XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

  • cool! I fell in love with this song when I played the game. Didnt know bowie back then, now is one of my favorite composers. thanks for the upload!
