I think its like the master sword thing. The beginning sword is a random sword that sucks like The Ordon sword in Twilight Princess, and you eventually find the special magical katana that has luster effects all of a sudden, like the Master Sword

Well, there are multiple "Special" swords in the game, not just one master sword. You can choose from several. And you get new guns, and if you get the preorder bonus, you also get 2 new guns and2 new swords. ;)

I just found out about that when they revelaed the trailer, but originally the developers they said thered be only one special sword.
