@SkateboardEmilio I do now, but at first i had to train her with someone on a bike in front of us that she would chase. The person on the bike was also there to check for traffic etc before she was trained well enough to just stop when i get off the board.

@Dobiekinq I always scope out the hills before to make sure they aren't so bad i can't just run off the board. I could let go of her and stop slowly on the board if i had to, but i'd rather take a spill myself and keep control of her so she doesn't get run over. You can see it in the first 20 seconds of my 11/30/2011 vid. My wounds heal and boards are replaceable, but losing a dog would be the worst thing ever.

i take my dog out on my board daily now that the snow has melted, but like last year, hes developing sores between his toes on his back legs. any ideas for counteracting this?

@northkato baby steps. I take her out year round so she has a tolerance pretty well built up. Try taking her out less often for less distance until the paws are a little tougher. The other option is buying the booties they make, but I haven't had to just yet. Think about yourself running barefoot without getting used to it.

Your dog is running like 10 times the distance of any 5/16 mile dog race. We used to have a basset/lab cross and one day my older stepson tried to take her for a "walk" with his rollerblades on. She took off full steam and he couldn't get her to stop until she got tired. It was absolutely hilarious. She was having a blast and he was a little freaked out. Dogs love to run. You can't force a dog to do this. It is not abuse.

Very familiar with this-ha. Only thing to really watch out for is getting the dog used to bolting in the street. Cars/dogs-not kewl. Also, going a little too much. Dog was done and probably wanted to sniff or piss half way through as I watch this. Best to pick up the board and just walk at that point. Otherwise, fun for two. Longboard a must. for dog speed!
