You don't have to be a professional musician to notice the mistakes in tempo and volume. In fact, as fantasyboy007 said, you can just compare this play with the one held in Stockholm and the difference will be obvious. Stockholm had it's mistakes too but they were much more subtle.

Obviously, but it would not be the same. What was great at Play! was watching the video while listening to the music. The Shenmue clip, combined to the music of the orchestra, was simply an incredible experience.

Sorry guys, but this was a very poor performance compared to other Play! venues (especially Stockholm). The pace was irregular and way too fast at times. The conductor wasn't in control of his orchestra. That guest drummer played despeartly too loud and killed Time's Scar. And listen to the piccolo goofing at the begginning of Time's Scar, very funny !!!

I was there, by the way. A very good concert overall, except for this part.

Great music, but since its videotapes on a ordinary camera, the sound quality is not as good as the other input in Youtube with same song.

They play too fast.

Squaresoft is to blame for that, not Square-Enix. They're a totally different company from what they used to be.

I wouldn't be surprised if CT eventually got a remake, either on the Wii or DS and release outside of the NTSC regions.

HUSH! HOLD YOUR TONGUE! NOBODY will remake Chrono Trigger, and thank god for that. The only thing they will do is buff up the graphics and add all kinds of useless shit, therefor dragging the overall quality of the game down.

Many remakes have suffered this faith; let us hope CT will not be one of those. Don't fuck with classics.

It was a worldwide tourney, called "Play! A Videogame Symphony". There are still some dates announced, 3 concerts in the US (Fort Worth and Seattle)! I dont remember how I found out about it the first time though... But I do remember I drove from Montreal to Toronto to see it and believe me, it was worth every penny I paid for my tickets!

He played way too loud (probably fortissimo where he was supposed to play mezzo piano), which covered the delicate sound of the violins and destroyed the overall balance. We should blame the conductor as well, as he could have made him play normally, but didn't.

I you want to listen to the best performance for CT/CC at Play!, you should listen to the Stockholm venue, which was close to perfection in quality of music. The flutist's performance was simple breathtaking. The overall difference with Toronto is very obvious.
