lower bass frequencies (about 600htz and lower) Are omni directional. Wether they are pointed at your shins or are eat eye level the sound will be the same (Barring any interference from the listening enviroment) Some shops will even put mid bass speakers under the front seats
I'm well aware of omnidirectional frequencies and they start closer to 80Hz. Now as a woofer in a 3-way system I can see how 600Hz would affect center to center spacing distances and the off axis frequency response wouldn't lose too much at that frequency but its still very directional there. I am also familiar with certain midbasses/subwoofers being placed under seats and dash boards, but they are generally crossed much lower.
Yea who knows what frequency that midbass is crossed at? If it's LPed low enough the sound would be mostly non-directional, like a sub. Plus doors are good for IB if that's what the woofer likes.

Ive been wanting to get into a set of these, but cant afford this line, so Ill get the cheaper line. If they sound atleast half of what these do, Ill be perfectly happy.

Anyone making ABSOLUTE comments regarding car audio is usually the "creepy internet nerd correcting people on subjects they have no experience with"....the whole "it's only playing to 1% of its potential" is pure internet garbage regurgitated by too much forum use.
I've done it both ways....kick panel and door installs. They both have their pros & cons. In no way are kicks perfect.

Nice setup man, but I just can't justify spending $250+ for a single midbass to have it pointed at your shins.

I dont like the installation of the woofer...
the woofer works at 1% of its possibility... it's a very good woofer but mounted in this way... it dont work well.

This 1% thing is a bit extreme....in what way is it limited? Imaging? Midbass punch?
Nothing wrong with mounting the woofer in the door, and it appears to me that the stock baffle is being used so front/back waves should be isolated.
You do not have to do kick panels to have good sound, despite what you've read on the internet.

1% is extreme... yes but in this istallation dont work at 100%! with another woofer, with this installation, it's the same.
It's important the installation, the frequency response on axis and not.
The woofer is wire with the door.... horrible... for a supremo is horrible!

each has different characteristics, just depends on one's taste... take Focal Utopia Beryllium vs. Morel Supremo. both will melt ur heart.
