But Lexi loves to snowboard so much and put a lot of time and work in to getting better that she has gotten the support of several companies so now she' able to get to places like Tahoe to ride some times. Things don't always work out this way. But, sometimes you make your own luck

@bighitkid13 a little more info for ya: riders don't get sponsored for their riding ability alone. Honestly, I don't know any girls her age as good as her, but that's not really the point. Though, if you do, feel free to share a link, I'd be stoked to peep it.

Sponsors want riders that are not only solid riders, but kids that represent their companies well. They need to be smart, well-spoken, and have a good attitude. Lexi is a great kid and her sponsors love having her spread the good word.

I've known Lexi and the Roland family for years, and, they're not rich. They're a great family that loves snowboarding and they do what they can to support Lexi and her passion. @imasnowborder32 Sure, it's not football - and that's cool. Snowboarding offers riders much more freedom and creativity than team sports. But, don't you think strength training, eating well, balance exercises, etc. can help you become a better snowboarder?

I know a lot of very good riders - some that make their living snowboarding - and the vast majority of them do more than just snowboard to get better. Not all of them though ;)

I'm fairly new to snowboarding and am thinking of buying a new one since I THINK I've out grown my current one. My current one is 144 cm and I'm 163 cm tall. Is my board too small for me? What size is good for me if I want to ride all mountain? Thank you for your help in advance.

@EmilyProcter0891 Hi Emily - sorry for the slow response - but I just saw this. Height is important, but also important is type of terrain you like to ride - groomers and park or freeriding and powder. For groomers and park, you'd likely go with a board that's about as tall as your chin. For more freeriding and powder, you'd like go with a board that's just under your nose when standing it straight up. I hope that helps!
