I've had a similar conversation with my father about something like this... he said I was a human being...I thought he said "Human Bean"... I said "I'm not a bean. I'm a human." He said "no son... you're a human being" I got mad and screamed "I AM NOT A BEAN!" lol ahhhh good times. The pronunciation threw me off. Still funny till this day back-flashing on it.

Just saw this on Dr Phil and I think his goal in this case is to make innocence into an issue that's simply not evident.
The father could've said 'when you turn 4 you'll turn into a boy. But not a boy 'boy' but like a sissy boy' then Dr Phil would slam you for being a homophobic.
